food.
Types :
bryophytes liverworts ,hornworts and
mosses.
Fungi are not plants.
They help to break plant
litter and animal remains
in the soil into nutrients.
They are important food
source for humans and
animals.
Eg.Yeast.

Lichens are collaboration

between fungi and algae.
They are found on rocks in
fungi & lichens the mountain top.

vascular plants.
They can grow upright
and taller than
bryophytes.
They reproduce by spores.

oak tree.

Tropical trees grow in wet

and dry environment with
heavy rainfall so they
have unique growth
pattern.

They are tall trees. They

have large leaves with
drip tip.

They have special rooting

system called
tropical trees “buttresses”
Eg. Rubber tree and
Indian banyan tree.
Trees bear fruits for
reproduction.
The fruits carry their
seeds.
Some fruits have their
seeds enclosed within the
fleshy part.
eg., Apple, pear.
Some fruits have their
seeds outside. eg .,
