CLASS 10 BOARD EXAMINATION 2024-25
GENERAL GUIDELINES
Understand the Curriculum Completely:
Begin by thoroughly going through the CBSE curriculum for each subject. Know the topics
that need to be covered and focus on high-priority areas. This helps in planning your study time
wisely. Curriculum is already shared at the beginning of academic year. It can also be
downloaded from the below website link.
https://cbseacademic.nic.in/curriculum_2025.html
Craft a Realistic Study Timetable:
Create a balanced study plan based on your personal learning pace and routine. Allocate more
time to subjects that you find challenging. Ensure you include regular breaks to recharge and
avoid burnout.
Gather the Right Study Materials:
Collect all necessary resources such as NCERT textbooks, all classwork and revision notes,
reference guides, sample papers, and past years’ question papers. These materials provide
ample practice opportunities and help you understand the exam pattern thoroughly. Use San
Question bank effectively. Practice all resource materials shared through e-content.
Focus on Conceptual Understanding:
Prioritize understanding core concepts rather than just memorizing facts. Use visual tools like
mind maps, flowcharts, or diagrams to simplify complex topics. Engage in group discussions
or explain topics to peers for better retention.
Practice Consistently:
Regular practice is crucial for success. Solve various practice problems, sample papers, and
past question papers. This helps you identify weak areas and allows you to focus on
improvement.
Master Time Management:
Learn to manage your study time efficiently. Break down your syllabus into smaller sections
and set clear, achievable goals for each session. This approach ensures steady progress and
avoids cramming close to the exams.
Clarify Doubts Early:
Don’t let doubts linger. Seek help from teachers to clear any confusion. Addressing doubts
early helps solidify your understanding and prevents misunderstandings closer to the exams.
Revise Regularly:
Consistent revision is key to retaining what you’ve learned. Set aside time for periodic revision,
and revisit important topics frequently. Regular reviews enhance memory and help keep
information fresh.
1
Simulate Exam Conditions:
Take timed mock tests in a quiet environment to simulate the actual exam. This will not only
help you manage time better but also build confidence and reduce exam-related anxiety.
Prioritize Health and Well-Being:
Remember, mental and physical health are as important as academics. Ensure you get enough
sleep, eat nutritious meals, and engage in regular physical activity. Practice mindfulness, deep
breathing, or meditation to manage stress effectively.

and evaluation
EXAM PATTERN
●Section A: Reading (20 marks) – Two unseen passages.
●Section B: Writing & Grammar (20 marks) – Two writing tasks, grammar questions.
●Section C: Literature (40 marks) – Extract Based Questions, Short and long answer questions
from textbooks.
STUDY PLANS AND DAILY STUDY GOALS
1. Set SMART Goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-bound)
Tip: Break down your syllabus into small, manageable sections and set clear daily goals.
Example: "I will complete the summary and key points of The Thief’s Story today."
2. Focus on One Skill at a Time
Tip: Dedicate specific time slots to each skill: Reading, Writing, Grammar, and Literature.
Daily Goal:
● Reading: Practice one unseen passage (Factual or Discursive) daily.
● Writing: Write one formal letter or an analytical paragraph.
● Grammar: Complete 1-2 grammar exercises focusing on a specific topic as prescribed.
(e.g., Tenses or Modals).
● Literature: Read one prose chapter or poem and summarize it.
3. Prioritize Difficult Topics
Tip: Start with the topics that you find most challenging to build confidence and
understanding.
Daily Goal: Spend 30 minutes reviewing and solving questions on difficult chapters or
concepts. For example, “I will re-read and revise Nelson Mandela today.”
4. Allocate Time for Revision
Tip: Consistently revisit previously covered material to reinforce learning.
Daily Goal: Set aside 20-30 minutes every day for revising key points from past lessons.
Create a quick revision list for each chapter and go over it daily.
5. Practice Writing Under Timed Conditions
Tip: Speed and accuracy are crucial during exams, so regularly practice writing within
time limits.
Daily Goal: Write one letter, or analytical paragraph within 20-30 minutes. Keep track
of your progress and get feedback from your teacher or peers.
6. Stay Consistent with Grammar Practice
Tip: Grammar is integral to all sections of the exam. Consistent practice is key.
Daily Goal: Complete 5-10 grammar questions or exercises on topics like subject-verb
concord, modals, or tense as prescribed by the board.

STUDY PLAN AND STRATEGY
• Learn all the in – text book and book back exercise question thoroughly, followed
by exemplarsolution.
• Read each line from the text book understand it and interpret it correctly.
• Learn all the activities with their observation, interpretation and conclusion.
• Have an exclusive preparation of objective questions given on exemplar book, CFPQ
hand book, and SAN QB.
• While learning the MCQs from exemplar learn the supporting explanation for both
the correct options and incorrect option. (will be use full to solve assertion and reasoning,
define questions)
• Practice the diagrams exclusively with labeling (their location, functions, secretion etc.
all theinformation related to the labeling)
• The diagrams in biology should be drawn in the left side of the page and the labelling
to be done on the right side. Ray diagram with arrow mark in Physics. Give importance
for sign convention in Physics.
• Once you complete the preparation from NCERT TB, Exemplar Solutions, Worksheets
CFPQ and SAN QB startpracticing previous year board question paper with marking
scheme.
• Initially learn the previous year board question papers with the marking scheme. After
learning 3 to 5PYQPs with MS, try writing the PYQPS as practice test by setting time
limit of 2hr 45 minutes.
• Analyze Your Performance: After solving a paper, review the solutions by refereing to
the MS given by CBSE. (Stick to the MS)
• Focus on Weak Areas: Revisit topics or chapters where you face challenges and practice
more questions related to those areas.
• Revise Regularly: Make sure to revise the solutions and explanations to solidify your
understanding of key concepts.
• While practicing the PYQPs if you have doubts note it down and clarify it with your
teacher wellahead.
• Remember the specific names of the biological processes along with the definition.
• Remember to study the less frequently asked concepts too.
• While practicing PYQPs without fail go through compartment papers too.
• Don’t accept any answer as correct answer from any material if you have doubt,
in that case, immediately clarify it with the teacher.
• While choosing the internal choice questions choose wisely which will allow you to
secure highmarks.
• Have a well-planned revision schedule and revise the chapters with time limits .Allocate
the preparatory holidays (holidays before exam) only for science with proper split up
forPCB and the last day make sure you recap all the topic from all the stream PCB.

STRATEGIES TO SCORE CENTUM
1. Understand the Exam Pattern
Allocate time based on the weightage of sections (multiple-choice questions, Very short
answers, short answer, long answer, etc.
• Reading Time: Board exams usually provide 15 minutes of reading time. Use this
wisely to understand the question paper.
2. Allocate Time Based on Marks
• Spend more time on questions that carry higher marks. For example, a 5-mark
question deserves more attention and time than a 1-mark question.
• Here’s a rough time guide:
o 1-mark question: 1-2 minutes. (For 20 Ques approx. 30 mins)
o 2-mark question: 3-4 minutes (For 6 ques approx. 20 mins)
o 3-mark question: 5-6 minutes. (For 7 ques approx. 40 mins)
o 5-mark question: 10-12 minutes. (For 3 ques approx.. 35 mins)
o 4-mark question : 8-10 minutes (For 3 ques approx. 30 mins)
o Revision : 25 mins
3. Break Down Long Questions
• For 5-mark or long-answer questions, quickly outline what needs to be written
(equations, definitions, key points) before writing full sentences. This helps structure
your answer and keeps it concise.
• Focus on writing relevant points to avoid wasting time on unnecessary details.
4. Time-Saving Tips for Numerical Problems
• For questions that involve calculations, such as mole concept, molarity, or
balancing chemical equations, make sure to:
o Write the given formula first: This helps you keep track of what needs to be
calculated.
o Be systematic: Do each step carefully to avoid mistakes that could lead to
spending more time correcting them later.
5. Efficient Answer Writing
• Be concise: Avoid writing lengthy, unnecessary explanations for short answers. Stick
to the point.
o For theory questions, write to-the-point definitions, explanations, and key
facts.
o For reaction-based questions, write the equation first and briefly describe the
process.
o For numerical questions, focus on correct formulas and steps.
• Handwriting and Diagrams:
o Make sure your handwriting is neat and legible to avoid confusion.
o For questions involving diagrams or structures (e.g., organic compounds),
draw them quickly but clearly. Diagrams can help you score better if labeled
properly.
