To maximise the performance of this Premium amp, we borrowed as much as possible from the Reference Series
SC-7S2 and applied for example, the full balanced layout in-current feedback technology to guarantee excellent
signal integrity. We also added the Wolfson high linear volume control, and the Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Modules
(HDAM-SA2), to guarantee precision high-speed signal handling at over 100kHz. It uses high precision Melf resistors
to minimise tolerances, and a shielded Toroidal transformer with very low impedance. The SC-11S1 is not only a top
performer – it’s versatile as well, with a wide range of connectivity options including two XLRs, an in-current
feedback phono amplifier for the MM/MC system and a current feedback headphone driver. While the FCBS allows

The SM-11S1 is powerful. Very powerful. That’s because plenty of the highly acclaimed Reference Series MA-9S2 is
inside, it includes a low impedance Toroidal Transformer in an aluminium shield case. So as you would expect,
this Current Feedback technique amplifier can easily handle demanding loudspeakers. For extreme set-ups, the
bridge mode (BTL) can convert the 2x 100 Watts at 8 ohms stereo amplifier SM-11S1 to a 400 Watts mono amplifier.
The two-stage circuit construction guarantees an excellent signal-to-noise ratio and the full control of any speaker.
The HDAM-SA2 ensures fast and accurate signal handling of frequencies even higher than 100 kHz. On the

technologies from the SC-11 and the SM-11. Thanks to the massive shielded Toroidal Transformer and Customized

Marantz has taken the EISA award-winning PM-15S1 to new heights, and created a successor: the PM-15S2.
This new 15 now uses the latest generation of Marantz-own HDAM modules, as well as a top-down version of
the PM-11S2’s Constant Current Feedback MM/MC phono stage, which vinyl fans will love instantly.
The new Toroidal transformer delivers even higher current values to immediately follow every dynamic and every
detail of the music, while an additional CD direct input buffer ensures unadulterated audio signals. One of the unit’s
many handy innovations is the new Power Amp Direct Mode, which means you can use the PM-15S2 as a pure
power amplifier - useful when combining a high quality AV system and audiophile stereo set-up. With rigid double
layer chassis, aluminium front and side panels, and an additional bottom plate to minimize external noise, the new

The new SA-15S2 is based on the successful SA-15S1, but as you would expect it has some rather seductive
enhancements. For example, the new front design (similar to that of the SA-11S2) radiates a more powerful,
cleaner face. Inside, there’s now a Toroidal transformer for cleaner power delivery and a new Marantz Xyron
mechanism with solid aluminium housing supporting even MP3 and WMA playback, but of course without
sacrificing sound quality of CD or SACD. The DAC has been replaced by a Cirrus Logic bitstream CS4398, which
offers a choice of different digital filters. Also, the SA-15S2’s analogue output stage makes use of the HDAM-SA2
module and selected components. A major benefit is the new digital input enabling you to connect a music server or
a network audio client and thereby make use of the high quality DAC and the superior audio output stage.
