Introduction to the clinical aspects of psychiatric- mental health nursing;


Explore and gain insight into the problems experienced by the mentally ill
person; and the emotional, intellectual social, and spiritual strains that physical
illness causes; thoughts and feelings of the students' regarding their dealing
with the psychiatric patients; Integration of theoretical base from the mental
health nursing course; utilize the nursing process within the therapeutic nurse
Course client relationship with the emphasis on the humanistic holistic approach; and
Description
develop an open communication with health care providers team to facilitate
the client's healing process in a structured environment; Nursing care of
clients with alteration in biopsychosocial adaptation, Schizophrenia and other
psychotic disorder, Mood disorder and suicide ,Anxiety disorders. Providing
holistic care to clients with psychiatric and or mental health problem while
applying the nursing process.
