This Service Bulletin is to inform you how to disable Entry and Start function on the above models.
NOTICE:
This cancel operation is available for customers who want to disable Entry function (e.g.
customers with pacemakers, hearing devices, etc.).
This procedure will cancel the following functions (some functions only available on certain
vehicles):
• Door lock/unlock
• Luggage opening function
• Prevention of key confinement
• Warning function
• Memory call function

ENTRY AND START SYSTEM
DISABLING ENTRY AND START FUNCTION
ENTRY CANCEL PROCEDURE
Procedure Note
1. Engine switch is off. -
2. Driver's door closed and unlocked -
3. Unlock the doors once with the UNLOCK button of the key -
4. Open the driver's doors within 5 seconds -
5. Unlock twice with the UNLOCK button of the key within 5 seconds -
6. CLOSE and OPEN the driver's door twice within 30 seconds -
7. Unlock twice with the UNLOCK button of the key within 30 seconds -
8. CLOSE and OPEN the driver's door 1-time within 30 seconds -
9. Close the driver's door within 5 seconds -
END Entry and Start function is deactivated
Wireless door lock buzzer sounds once
HINT:
• If the time intervals are not followed, the cancellation of Entry function will not be completed.
• To return to Entry and Start function activation condition, perform the same procedure again. When
Entry and Start function is re-activated, the wireless door lock buzzer sounds twice.
NOTICE:
Once the Entry and Start function is deactivated, Start function of the engine will be disabled too.
The engine, therefore, should be started by holding the TOYOTA logo of the key against the
engine switch (same procedure as emergency start, when key battery is low). Please refer to the
following procedure details.
1. Engine starting once the Entry and Start function is
disabled
(a) Depress the brake pedal (A/T or MMT models) or
the clutch pedal (M/T models).
(b) Touch the key (with its TOYOTA logo facing
towards the switch) to the engine switch and wait
for 1 second.

(c) Buzzer in the combination meter beeps once.

(d) While still keeping the brake pedal (A/T or MMT
Indicator models) or the clutch pedal (M/T models) held
down, check that the engine switch indicator is
illuminated green. Then push the engine switch
Engine within 5 seconds after the buzzer sounds.
START Start HINT:
STOP If the pedal is not depressed, push button start
system will activate ACC or IG-ON.
