- The technician should take all steps to protect themselves or others against all risks of

- The technician should ensure they have the PPE (personal protective equipment)
suitable for the job and the particular conditions of environment in witch the material can
be found (see safety information specific to the operation site)
- Position the machine on a flat ground, stabilized and in a released environment
- Mark out the work area
- Cut the contact, to remove the key, open the battery cut if fitted
- Place a `DO NOT USE' label near the start/stop contactor (key switch) to inform
personnel that interventions are currently underway on the equipment.
- The pressure in the hydraulic system is very important. It can cause accidents. Relieve
the pressure before any intervention and never search for oil leaks using your hands.

- Mounting the cover assembly:

Step 2 : Installation of the ASB bar (bar to be installed after fixing the cover to the support and
after installing the upper control box)
Beware of the tightening torque, does not exceed 6 Nm. Risk of damage to the cover

- Position the support upside down on a table and rivet the 2 plastic pads mark 10
-Fix the flashing light mark 12 (do not use the nuts supplied with the lamp). Use the nuts reference
2700200510.
- Turn the support upside down and tighten at 10N.m the 2 guide plates mark 31

- Tighten at 10N.m sheets left supports (mark 30) and right (mark 29) on the support
- Screw, adjust (the head of the proximity sensor mark 2 must be flush the support mark 21) and
fix the assembly to the right support
-The proximity switch must not protrude from the support plate

- Position the axle and tighten to 10 Nm with medium thread brake, the left and right axes of the
cover on the side plates of the bracket.

- Detector harness routing on the support
Be careful with the collars 1 and 2: the buckles must be on
the spring side and not on the upper control box side. A
loop on the wrong side prevents the hood from functioning
correctly.
The collar loops 3, 4 and 5 must be located on the outside
(not visible to the operator).

9. Complementary operations

10. Functional verification
After assembly, check the operation of the system:
Set all emergency stop buttons to OFF
- Check the absence of a warning signal
- Check that the green light is on
Start the machine from the upper control box.
Make a telescope output and push the bar while performing movement until the system
trips (cut off the output movement)
- Check the activation of visual and audible warning signals (beep, blue flash lamp and
green light off)
- The bar held pushed, check that it is possible to retract the telescope
- Release the bar, remove the foot from the dead man pedal and press it again. Check
that the normal operation is restored (stop beep and flash lamp, green light restored,
telescope output again possible)
