 General Objective(s): Students will be able to use all forms of verb to “be” in the simple present.
 Students Performance Objectives (SPO): By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
 Recognize all forms of verb to “be” in the simple present;
 Use the target structure by providing dialogues/interviews in the exploitation stage.

3 Warm-up
minutes -T greets SS Greeting
-T: Welcome to my class.
-T asks one of the SS to write the date on the BB.
25 Presentation:
minutes - T sets the scene and creates a need for SS.
- T: Hi, who am I? Setting the scene
-S1: Teacher.
-T: And who are you? Contextualization
-SS: Students.
-T: Good. You, Come here!! What’s your name?
-S3: My name is………
-T: So, which verb do we have here? Tense?
-SS: To be. Present simple
-T writes the title of the lesson on the BB. Simple present of verb to“be”
-T asks SS to open their textbooks and read the dialogue provided on page 10.
- T asks SS to answer the attached questions. Dialogue
-T elicits answers from SS.

10 Practice:
minutes -T asks SS to complete a dialogue. (ref: workbook, Ex. 1, p.6)
-T asks SS to do the activity 3 on page 11. Completion drills
-T corrects with SS.
25 minutes Production:
-T asks SS to work on the activity 4 on the same page and provide dialogues/interviews.
-T does not intervene unless SS need help in word finding difficulty. Role play
-T asks SS to perform.
-T asks SS to copy the lesson.
