1. Core Concept
- In this lesson, students will learn about the conversation between the people and
practice the role-playing skill following the conversation.
2. Performance Indicators
Standard 2.1 G8/1 Use language, tone of voice, and gestures appropriate to the
person and occasion. according to social etiquette and culture of native speakers.
Standard 4.1 G8/1 Use language to communicate in real situations/simulated
situations that occur in the classroom, school, and community.

7. Learning Activities/Procedures
1. Teacher greets students to create learning atmosphere.
2. Teacher checks students’ register and observe readiness.
3. Teacher asks students to look at the picture in the Conversation activity on page 4
in the textbook.
4. Teacher asks students about the picture by using these questions “Where are the
people? (At the are course), What are they doing? (They are talking)”
5. Students close their textbooks.
6. Teacher opens audio track 6 and lets students listen.
7. Teacher asks students about the conversation by using the questions “What is the
conversation about?”
8. Students open their textbooks and look at the conversation.
9. Teacher reads every question in About the conversation on page 4 and asks
students to tell if there are something students don’t understand.
10. Teacher asks students to answer and check the answers together.
11. Teacher explains the words “register” by showing the slide presentation. If
students still don’t understand, teacher will apply students to search the meaning of this
word.
12. Students are divided into 2 groups. Each group take part of the conversation,
group 1 and group 2 read the conversation.
13. Teacher random 2 students to role play the conversation and lets them come in
front of class and role play the people in conversation.
14. Teacher asks students to give their big hands to their friends’ role play in front of
class.
15. Teacher reviews what they have learned in this hour.
16. Say goodbye to each other.
