It is bring to your kind information that the Department of Sociology &% Social
Work at Himachal Pradesh University, Summer Hill, Shimla, offers a two-year Master's
degree program in Social Work (MSW). As part of their academic curriculum, our MSW
students are required to undergo practical training in various settings, such as
child/women/farnily welfare, correctional settings, hospital care, psychiatric settings,
labour welfare, and working with the elderly and disabled individuals, among others.
The Department regularly collaborates with NGOs, government organizations, voluntary
agencies, and local communities to provide fieldwork opportunities for our students.
During thewinter vacation, students work with an organization of their choice to
gain hands-on experience. We are pleased that your esteemed organization has agreed
to provide an opportunity for our students, and we are confident that this exposure will
be invaluable in helping them apply theoretical concepts to real-life sitsations. I would
like to request your kind permission to allow our student, Dol Koy MS-11,to
undergo training at your esteemed organization for a period of 30 days, tentativelý from
1st January to 1st February, 2025. Our students are proficient in data collection,
analysis, report writing, and presentations, which they would be happy to apply during
their internship.
