Cold applied bitumen protective coating

PRODUCT
dry bitum WB – K is a water based sulphate resistant
bitumen emulsion coating of brushing consistency which
dries to give a firm, flexible, jointless waterproof and protective
membrane.
It is formed by the anionic emulsification of pliable bitumen
and is both stable and easy to apply.
It acts as general waterproofing, damp-proof membrane
and vapourseal for concrete, masonry, asbestos cement
sheets, roofing felts, wood…
It also ensures protection of steelwork, pipes and metal.

EQUIPMENT CLEANING
.dry bitum WB –K may be removed from tools and
equipment with water when it is wet. On drying, it may be
removed using solvents.

STORAGE
dry bitum WB – K has a shelf life of 12 months when
stored under cover, out of direct sunlight and protect from
extreme temperatures. In tropical climates the product must
be stored in an air conditioned environment. Failure to
comply with the recommended storage conditions may
result in premature deterioration of the product or packaging.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Avoid prolonged contact with skin. Wear protective gear for
hands & eyes. Splashes onthe skin should be washed away
by cleaning with soap and water. In case of contact with
eyes, wash thoroughly with clean water. If swallowed, do not
induce vomiting, in both cases seek medical attention. In
case of fire, use CO2 foam to extinguish. Tightly seal containers
when not in use.

1. PRODUCT
• dry bitum WB-K is a water based sulphate resistant bitumen emulsion coating easy to apply.
• dry bitum WB-K, has excellent adhesion properties, as well as excellent water and moisture proof properties.
It also ensure the protection of steelwork, pipes and metals..
• dry bitum WB-K provides after drying a firm, flexible, jointless waterproofing and protective membrane.
• dry bitum WB-K is used also to protect steel, concrete masonry asbestos cement sheets, roofing felts, wood...
from attack by sulphates, chlorides and many other moisture and atmospheric borne pollutants.

2. SURFACE PREPARATION
• Surface should be free from loose deposits, rust and grease.
• For better performance the surface may be dampened but not wet, particularly in hot and dry weather.
• If the surface is dusty and/or very porous, it should be primed with a coat of weberdry bitum WB-K diluted 1:1 with
cool clean water.

3. APPLICATION
• Stir well the dry bitum WB-K before application
• Apply the product with brush or squeegee.
• 2nd coat is recommended to ensure a durable finish and shall be applied only after the previous coat is touching
dry.
• If the surface is to be topped with concrete, it is recommended that it should be lightly sprinkled with sand as soon
as it is laid, which will act as a protective layer.
Excess sand should be brushed off prior to laying the screed.

4. PRECAUTIONS
• Clean tools with water before drying.
• On drying, it may be removed using solvents.

Get immediate medical attention. If victim is having trouble breathing, transport to medical
