SUCCESSFUL BLACK BELT

FIRST THING FIRST

The entire 1 Million Teachers community welcome you to this programme. We are thrilled
to have you on board. The 1 Million Teachers Project is an international programme
centered on equipping teachers to be able to impact learners using universally accepted
best practices. Ours is a platform for lifelong learning with the aim of creating positive
behavioural changes in the society.
Why 1MT?
The need for 1MT, The Purpose of 1MT
1MT in full is 1 million teachers, it is an international organization based in Canada with
the mandate to raise millions of teachers across the world. It is believed that 70 million
teachers would be globally needed by 2030 and without qualified and motivated teachers,
children stand little chance of reaching their potentials. Unfortunately, there is a massive
shortage of qualified, motivated and competent teachers across the world especially in sub-
Saharan Africa.
The mission of 1MT is to build a critical mass of highly trained and enterprising education-
change makers who will lead grassroots Improvement within their communities.
We combine 1-on- 1 support with scalable forms of e-learning technology to create impact
that is great in reach. It has over 350 courses and with 12 certificates. It is a modern
solution to a long-standing-problems, this is a scale never been attempted before, and it has
been recognized by the likes of global citizen, UNICEF and the likes
1MT is currently in 17 sub-Saharan African countries including Pakistan. 1MT is also
currently in collaboration with technology giant HP, and an International NGO- Girl Rising,
aimed at bringing inclusive content and curriculum to classrooms and educators in Nigeria
and beyond.
Initially, for some time and in many places, this international training was given to some
private school owners and their teachers was supposed to cost about 50,000 naira per
head equivalent to 150 dollars per participant for a year due to the cost having been
subsidized by the Queen’s University in Canada.

this training, you will be better equipped for bigger and better impact. We implore you to
