1) MIRS SCOUTS AND GUIDES GROUP

What do Bharat Scouts and Guides do?

The purpose of the Movement is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their
full physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible
citizens and as members of the local, National and International communities.

What is the purpose of Scout and Guides?

Scouting and Guiding - which is an international movement - intends to inculcate in the young boys
and girls a sprit of loyalty, patriotism and thoughtfulness for others. In India, Scouting and Guiding

What is the benefit of Scout?

The Aim of Scouting and Guiding is four-fold. The first is the formation of character; the second is
the formation of sound health habits. The third is the training in the handicraft and the acquiring of
useful skills; and the fourth is the cultivation of a proper spirit of service efficiently.

What are the benefits of scout and guide for students?

It helps in building confidence and self esteem among the students. They learn important life-skills,
team building ,outdoor adventure, education and fun. It helps them to explore, to discover the world
beyond classroom, and also helps in all round development . Various activities are held throughout
the year.

national headquarters of BSG is recognised by the Government of India.

What are the aims of guide?


The overriding goal of the Scouting and Guiding movements is to help develop the young people in
local communities. This goal is reflected in the official Statement of purpose of the Guides and
Mission statement of the Scouts.

What is the role of a Scout leader?

Provide leadership, inspiration and motivation for all adults volunteering in the Group. Ensure that
everyone in the Group follows the policies and rules of The Scout Association. Carry out regular one-
to-one meetings and support adults who report directly to you.

What skills do you learn in Scout?

Skills commonly included are camping, cooking, first aid, wilderness survival, orienteering and
pioneering.

2) JUNIOR RED CROSS (JRC)

What is the work of Junior Red Cross?


Service to the community. Community based social welfare activities, environmental
activities, disaster preparedness programme. Informing Youth members and others the role
and the responsibilities of the Red Cross and encourage them to contribute.

What is the objective of JRC?


To foster better friendly relationship with all without any discrimination. Protection of health
and life. Service to the sick and suffering. Promotion of National and International friendship.

The Junior Red Cross Society (JRC) is a voluntary humanitarian organization to protect human

3) ROAD SAFETY PATROL

What is the road safety Patrol?

The Road Safety Patrol (R.S.P) scheme trains students to regulate traffic near schools, under
the guidance of a traffic constable. This helps them to understand traffic rules better and to
share their knowledge with fellow students.

What is the meaning of RSP in school?


Road Safety Patrol
The main objective of the Road Safety Patrol (RSP) is to inculcate in the students, the
importance of following road safety rules, discipline and to teach them to regulate traffic in
the school campus.

4) NCC NAVY

The NCC provides exposure to the cadets in a wide range of activities., with a distinct emphasis
on Social Services, Discipline and Adventure Training. The NCC is open to all regular students of
schools and colleges on a voluntary basis. The students have no liability for active military
service.

5) NCC NAVY
The National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization,
comprising the Navy and Army engaged in grooming the youth
of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens, which was
created under the Indian Defence Act, 1917 with the Aim to make
up the shortage of the Army.
