COURSE ABSTRACT:
This course explores the principles and practices of sustainable bio-energy and bio-products, emphasiz-
ing their role in addressing global energy and environmental challenges. It covers biomass resources,
conversion technologies, and the development of biofuels, biochemicals, and biomaterials. Students will
examine the environmental, economic, and social implications of bio-energy systems and their integra-
tion into the energy mix. Topics include life cycle assessment, waste valorization, and advancements
in biotechnological processes. The course prepares students to innovate in sustainable energy solutions
and contribute to a circular bioeconomy. .
