I.Confirmation Prior to Installation III. Installation procedure
1. Precautions against static electricity. 1. Remove the duct cover. (5 screws)
• Keep the security kit in an anti-static bag while
transporting it or storing it.
• When working in places where static electricity
tends to accumulate, such as on a carpet, dis-
charge electricity from your body by touching any
metallic portion before handling the security kit.
2. Do not touch the contacts on the security kit with
your hands, as that may result inpoor conductivity.
3. Do not physically damage the security kit by drop-
ping it, bending it, etc.
Note:
• For the installation of the UK-104 and the Duct cover
UK-207, the IC-602 is required.
• When installing the UK-104, be sure to install A5A9IXC003CA
it when the operation check by the test print
is completed after installing the IC-602. 2. Remove the rear cover/1 and the rear cover/2.
• For the installation procedures, refer to the (Rear cover/1: 4 screws, rear cover/2: 17 screws)
installation manuals of the UK-104 and the
UK-207.

remove it opening at a 90-degree angle.

5. Remove the board cover.
(1) Remove 20 screws of the board cover and pull
open the cover.

degrees angle or more.

6. Install the IC-602.

(3) Connect 5 connectors and set the wiring har-
nesses in 3 clamps.
Note:
Be sure to connect the wiring harnesses align-
ing the numbers of the wiring harnesses and
the numbers of the board, and set the wiring
harnesses so that they are not floating.
8. Reinstall the board cover.
(1) Fix the board cover with 1 screw. Connectors
Note:
• When reinstalling the board cover, be sure
to align it with the projection.
• Be sure to reinstall the board cover outside
of the main body side.

(4) Reinstall the board cover. (20 screws)

Step
1. Touch the “Utility/Counter” key and then
touch the “Administrator Setting” key.

4. After the settings are done, be sure to turn
the Sub power switch and the Main power
switch OFF first and then turn them ON.
(Otherwise the settings will not be regis-
tered. When turning the Main power switch
and the Sub power switch ON, wait for more
than 10 seconds after turning them OFF
before turning them back ON.)

(4) Print a test copy to check operation
Note:
• Conduct this procedure when using the
Controller NIC.
• Output the required report.
Step
1. Turn the Main and Sub power switches ON.
2. Touch the “Controller” key on the [MACHINE]
screen.
3. Touch the “Report Type” key.
4. Select the type of report.
5. Touch the “Execute” key.
(5) Ping to check network connection.
Note:
Conduct this procedure when using the Con-
troller NIC.
Step
1. Touch the “Utility/Counter” key and then
touch the “Administrator Setting” key.
2. Touch the “Network Setting” key and then
touch the “NIC Setting” key.
3. Touch the “Detail Setting” key, and touch the
“Next” key four times.
On the [PING Confirmation] screen, touch
the “Host Name” key.
4. [Ping Send Address] screen
Enter a valid address, and touch the “OK” key.
5. Touch the “Check Connection” key.
6. Touch the “Start” key.
Check the message.
(1) If OK, <Completed normally> will appear.
(2) If there is a problem, <Error> will
appear.
=> Check if the address is correct and
the network is connected. Resend
again and make sure that the proce-
dure completes successfully.
7. Touch “Close” key and then touch “Exit” key.
