1 INTELLOPOLIS 2017 Smart City Challenge organized by TECHNOPHILIC.

Students poster competition and innovative idea presentation held on 14th - 15th Sept
2017. Intellopolis 2017 was based on the theme smart city challenge. Under this theme,
two competitions were conducted:
Competition 1: Poster making competition
In this, students had to send their digital or handmade posters representing innovative
solutions for smart city challenge. In this above 100 entries were received.

3.FDP on Seismic Vulnerability of Structures under TEQIP -III, one week 27th November - 1st
December, 2017

The aim of this FDP is to discuss the advances in earthquake engineering to address an urgent need to adopt
latest design philosophies and construction practices for resilient civil engineering structures. Strategies
involved in assessment and design of seismic vulnerability of existing and new structures and enhancing
their seismic performance shall be elaborated.
This one week Faculty Development Program is intended to provide opportunity for faculties in various
engineering institutions for upgrading their knowledge in the areas of earthquake resistant structures.
The program started with formal inauguration function. Honorable Vice Chancellor, RGPV, Prof. Sunil
Kumar was the Chief Guest of the function. Prof. S. K. Jain, Registrar RGPV, Bhopal was Guests of
Honor, Prof. R. S. Rajput, Director, UIT-RGPV, Bhopal and Prof. S. C. Choube, TEQIP Coordinator,
RGPV Bhopal also honored the desk. The keynote speaker for this function was Prof. D. R. Sahoo,
Associate Professor, IIT Delhi.
The course formally ends with valedictory function and distribution of certificates was carried out by Prof.
Sunil Kumar, Honorable Vice Chancellor, RGPV Participants gave their valuable feedbacks.
