The Time To Thrive Challenge
With Tony Robbins, Dean Graziosi
August 2022
Day 1
- How to get the most of The Time To Thrive Challenge
o Dedicate the time - Commit to it – every day
o Proximity – put yourself in the game. Connect with others
o Be open-minded. The jacket approach. Try on ideas.
o Play full out. If you only put out 50%, you will have a 50% life. Physiology 1st. Move.
Boost your energy. Helps with retention. 10 second energy crank. Shake the body out.
- I don’t want to just survive, I want to thrive
Dean Graziosi
- You can focus on what’s wrong, or shift your mind towards what’s right. That’s available too.
- You can row as fast as you can, but if you are in the wrong boat or if it’s going the wrong
direction… you are wasting your energy. Get in the right boat.
- Why this, why now, why you?
- You are meant for more
- No one is coming to save us. It’s on us.
- Own your success. It’s liberating.
- I’ll take the uncomfortable action
- What solves uncertainty? Prepare, anticipate & react.
- Shift from what’s wrong to what’s right. Wayne Gretzky quote. Go to where the puck is going.
- Warren Buffett – during inflation/recession, 1. Invest in yourself. 2. Join/create a wonderful
business that doesn’t require heavy capital investment.
- Share a skill, a hobby, a passion, your experience.
- Knowledge sharing industry – currently at $863 million/day
- Sell what you know
- Learn from people that have already been there. Turn decades of learning in to days.
- How valuable would it be for you to spend a day with your 20 yr old self?
- Someone else needs what’s in your mind just like your 20 yr old self.
- Your inventory is your life experience. Your knowledge is your asset and your brain is the
warehouse.
- Shift your beliefs on your limitations
- What ‘you’ is going to show up?
- Things are happening for you, not to you.
- Help people & get paid to do it.
- You don’t have to be something to everyone. You can serve a small group of people.
- Your mentors sacrificed for you and it changed your life.
- Your sacrifices will help change others lives.
- Your mess (learning) becomes a solution.
- Be a bridge builder. Your bridge can help others.
- Use social media instead of it using you.
- Who we are when no one’s watching is who we really are.
Tony Robbins
- Help the world, plant more trees - Treesforthefuture
- All changes start with a choice
- Without energy, nothing gets accomplished. Train yourself for action.
- Xprize – feed a billion people
- Continuous progress will get you to places you can’t even imagine
- Your problem becomes a gift, because you can teach it to others to help them
- If you don’t pay for it, you won’t value it
- Tony paid $35 for his 1st Jim Rohn seminar. At the time, he was making $40/week being a
janitor.
- Leaders are readers
- People always get what they had to have. If it’s important to you, find a way.
- The #1 success ingredient in life… hunger. To be something more than you’ve been before.
- Tony’s childhood friend - Mike Keys. Went to Jim Rohn’s $1200 seminar together.
- Success leaves clues
- Sew the same seeds, reap the same rewards
- Tony had 7 people at his 1st event where he reserved a room at the Hilton for 500 people.
- 77% of people that graduate in, don’t get a job in the field they studied. The other 23%, do not
love their work.
- In every challenge/problem, there is a gift
- When someone tells you that you can’t do something, find another way
- Inflation affects your $, but no one can take your skills from you.
- Strangers care. Someone helped feed his family at Thanksgiving
- Is it possible to make twice as much $ in the same amount of time? 4x? 10x? Yes, Yes & Yes.
- Spend more time improving yourself than you do in a job
- Certain skills are valued higher than others
- Why are some people paid so little? Because anyone can learn to do the job in less than an hour
or two
- Do more for others than anyone else does, and make more than anyone else.
- Your job… add more value. How to do more for the customer? That’s how you build a brand.
Overdeliver.
- Repetition is a key ingredient to mastery
- Plane – 80% off course. What do you do when you are off course? Most people panic & give
up.
- Fears & Beliefs hold us back
- Courage and a new belief will help get you there
- We do what we believe. It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy
- We are drowning in information, starving for wisdom
- Fear sells. If it bleeds, it leads.
- What is wrong is always available. So is what is right.
- Everything changes & everything ends. When it ends, a new beginning occurs
- Our brain wasn’t designed to make us happy. It was designed to make us survive. Take control
of your survival brain. Change thoughts, emotions & actions.
- The truth will set you free. See it as it is.
- If you don’t follow a plan, you will be part of someone else’s plan
- Model people that have already succeeded. Compress decades in to days.
- Your beliefs have nothing to do with your reality. They are your conditioned patterns.
- Avoid the tyranny of ‘how’
- In the beginning, none of us know how to do it.
- Don’t start with how.
- What do I want? What do I desire?
- If I wasn’t afraid, what would I want out of my life?
- Next, why do you want?
- The what and the why is where all the power comes from
- Reasons come first, answers come second. If you have strong enough reasons, you’ll figure
out how.
- If you start with how, you will never follow through, as your doubts & limiting beliefs come up
- Write down your limiting belief, and then write out the opposite empowering belief
- Become a knowledge broker
- My mess is my message
- Don’t sell, share.
- Develop replacement beliefs
- Walt Disney went bankrupt twice.
- Don’t call it failure, call it learning
- People do what they belief. What would you have to believe to keep going?
- Treasure hunt story. Didn’t find anything for 16 years, and then found ½ billion in gold
- These beliefs can be developed
- The way you use your body affects how your mind works. Change your state, change your
physiology.
- Use power postures
- Make your move. Make a noise. Move.
- Decisions change our lives.
- New results come from new decisions.

Jenna Kutcher
- For many of us, there was once a flame, but most of us has ashes. All it takes is an ember to
get the fire going again. Fan the embers.

standing still
- What if your change could be the inspiration for others to take the 1st step
- You are sitting on the sidelines of your life.

- There is something you need to do, and you are avoiding it
- Your point of your life is to make a difference in the lives of people
- How do we make progress?
o Welcome the tiny actions
o Inch your way to your goals
- Passion is contagious. Fan each other’s embers.
- Choose someone to be your accountability partner. Share with them.
- When we speak our dreams out loud, they grow. It also helps other to invite people to dream
big.
- You are meant to thrive
- Take imperfect action
Dean G
- Sign up. Show up.
- Sometimes we have to replace the how, with who.
- I am not settling for who I am today

- Do you feel like you are meant for more?
- Do not let your voice of doubt get in the way of your potential
- Look through the lens of what’s possible as opposed to the lens of what’s not working.
- Feeling hesitation? Hearing the voices? Lean in!
- You are your client from a year ago. 5 years ago. 10 years ago.
- You are serving who you used to be
- As we grow, we get better at solving problems
- Don’t wish problems go away, because they never will. Just get better at solving problems.
- Things take time. It doesn’t happen overnight.
- We overestimate what we can do in a year and underestimate what we can do in 5 years
- It all starts with a spark of hope
- Most people give up after the 1st hiccup
- Identify where the value is, and then figure out how to get it out there. Book, mastermind,
event, etc.
- The DOT – you don’t have to be something to everyone
- Narrow it down to the DOT… your ideal client
o Flipping 1 car per month
- What problem can you solve?
- What goal or dream can you help expedite for other people?
- What can you create to give them a shortcut to succeed?
o What skills can you share with them?

o You went through something that was kind of tough, and now you are on the other side.
o Become the bridge builder for them.
o Help people get across the valley quick

worth it.
o Pay for other people’s experience.
- Passion
o Finding your purpose without losing family, friends or your job
- Reporter

- Use your past to be your fuel, not your anchor
Alex Hermozi
- From sleeping on the gym floor to selling his business for $50m in 5 years.
1. Why You?
- Get narrow on the dot, so you can be specific with your training
- Tap in to leverage. What you get in vs what you get out. Work towards getting more leverage.
Media… online programs. Record it once, and a million people can see it
4 Types of leverage:
1. Other people’s time
2. Other people’s $
3. Media
4. Software
- Everyone is better at something than someone else. Teach what you know. Goes from how to,
to how did I do x,y,z.
- Focus on what you know. Gives you confidence. Gives you security.
2. Why education?
- College/univ hasn’t been fulfilling their promise & more people are realizing that
- Market is shifting from old school to new school
- Demand for skills are still high
- Limited supply
- Alternative education is set to 2.5x in next 5 years. $1+ trillion. Huge wave.
3. Why digital?
- How are we going to teach it? Use leverage.
- Use digital
o 100% gross margin. No or low cost.
o No supply chain. Unlimited inventory.
o No new work for new customers. Same problems because you’ve narrowed it down to
the dot. Feels like a personalized solution. Who do you help? How can you help them?
- This is where the newer wealth is being created. Sell media. Facebook. Amazon. Infinite scale.
4. Why now specifically?
- Protect against a recession/inflation
- Skills are the greatest hedge
- Compound your skillset
- Invest in you
- Invest in the S & Me 500, not the S & P 500.
5. Work with people that have been doing it the longest
- Success leaves clues
Glo Atanmo

- Sometimes you need to disappoint others so that you can satisfy yourself
- Fight for the life of your dreams. Why not?
- Put yourself out there
- Let your core values guide you
- Ease isn’t what we are after.
- Build the grit. The determination.
- Book recommendations

so much
Dean
- Most people don’t plan to be in this industry, we evolve in to it.
- You grow exponentially when you teach things to others
- This is the time we can be role models. Step in to your full potential. The greatest gift we can
give… be the best version of yourself.
- Honour where you are & trust the process
- If I had more time, I would have written you a shorter letter ~Mark Twain

- Does the past have to equal the future? Heck no!
- The accumulation effect – reviewing and stacking what you’ve already learned
- Clarity equals power
- Go from… I think I can do this => I have to do it => how the heck do I do it => do it
- Selling is the oxygen to impact.
- Selling is service
- Play full out
Dean
- Sell through the lens of service
- Where ever you are is the perfect place. Trust the process.
- Your coaches and mentors were once where you are right now.
- It all starts with 1 step. Help 1 person first, then 2, then 20, then…
- What is the best time to plant a tree? A couple years ago. The second best time to plant one is
now. Let’s go!
- Think about how many lives are going to be impacted by you sharing your story
- Does money solve problems? Help with sick family, helps people quit a crappy job, help you
pay off debts. What about leaving a legacy for your kids and others? What if it helped you
buy your time back?
- Money earned ethically can help solve problems.
- If $ can solve problems, what are some ways you can get money?
o Raise $
o Sell
- Therefore, sales solves problems
- Step up how much you care.
- Fall in love with the outcome of your client.
- Be a master at what you do
- 3 secrets about selling
1. Turn selling in to service.
o Influence people to take action.
o “If I build it, they will come”. Not always! 80% in Barnes & Noble has sold less than
1000 copies.
o When you are afraid to put your message out there, because you are scared, you are
being selfish. Someone needs to hear what you have to say & what you have to offer.
o We are bridge builders. They are cutting a cheque to grow faster. People pay for speed
o Someone else needs your unique experience.
2. Science vs Art
o Science – nothing more than the delivery system. Don’t let all of the options overwhelm
you.
o Art - Where the magic is… the messaging.
- Enter conversations
o Topics change
o If we truly care, we need to enter conversations people are having now
o Find a FB group that is in your genre
- Solve problems
o Understand their problems, and help them solve it
- Share a path
o Sell through your heart
o How can I help them towards their goals
- What they want vs what they need
o Most people don’t buy what they need
o Listen more
o Sell people what they want, and make sure you give them what they need
- People buy from you when they feel understood
o When people feel understood, they feel connected to you which raises trust
3. Create an irresistible offer
- It’s not how many things you give them.
- It’s not how cheap you can give it to them
- Create a program that gets the outcomes and results they desire
- Know their goals. Know their obstacles.
- The right things in the right order so they can get the right results
- Don’t be something to everyone
- “this is how I did it…”, but here’s what I did
- Push people to take action. Without action nothing changes.
- Here’s what you do first…
- Complexity is the enemy of execution ~ Tony Robbins
- Understand what their objections might be, so they can stay on the path. If you know them, you can
help overcome them.
- Don’t compete on price, as that’s what everyone else is doing
- Make people see themselves getting the results
- Create something you wished you had. I remember when I was…
- We are in the business of building bridges to help people get across the valley. Help people get to
where they want to go faster.
- Immersion is when you jump in. That’s how you learn & grow the fastest
- If you had to choose between success or impact, what would you choose?
• In this industry, you can have both
- The actions you take today, dictate your tomorrow
Brendan Burchard
- You don’t get the progression without the disruption
- It’s not about easy. The question is… is it required?
• To be happy again?
• To build the relationships in your life
• To have more fun again
- Let’s stop talking about how hard things are, let’s talk more about what you are doing about it
- Self doubt is not a signal to stop. It’s a signal to learn. To invest in yourself.
- Self doubt will always be there. Successful people are aware of it, and experiment with it.
3 phases of crises & how you move through them
1. Shock & safety. Resistance rises up in the body. Fear. Stress. People shut down & they stay
there forever. Perfectionism often lives here.
2. Deal with it. Coping with the new world. Finding your way in it. Stress management. Well-
being. Mental health. Transition. Who am I in this new world? Figure things out and deal. Lots
of noise and distraction and not enough progression. We become discouraged. Which leads to
more self-doubt & then you stop. “this is so unfair”. You are going through this to be
prepared. To lead with empathy. To understand other people. To find your strength. To create
some new boundaries.
3. I need progress in my life right now. This is where the separation happens. Winner or loser.
This is either forced up you, or you choose it. Productivity, achievement, results. Inspiring.
Lead. Pull the things along. You have to move.
- When you focus on the things that matter most, the inspiration comes back.
- If you keep doing what you are already doing, will you be significantly or dramatically different in
5 years?
- You have a reason to earn. Change your families generational story.
- You are not just going through all of this just for you. Have a cause and a reason beyond yourself.
- Remind yourself… who needs you on your a game?
- Ask people what they are struggling with
- Ask people what they are excited about
- No matter how small you start, start something that matters
- Have the map before you enter the woods
- You are meant for something extraordinary
- When you knock on the door of opportunity, work answers the door
- This is the new world, let’s go!
Russell Brunson
- The Hero’s Journey
• Every hero starts in their ordinary world.
• Something happens. The hero has a call to adventure.
- You can become a knowledge broker. You can interview other people and share it.
- Most people are excited to share with you.
- It’s ok to not be good in the beginning.
- The more you do it, the better you get
- Start. And then create the momentum.
- Hear the call, and then start the journey.
- What happens next - The refusal of the call. Fear comes up. Doubt. I’m not ready. I’m not worthy.
I’m going to keep dabbling. Push through it and keep moving forward.
- How do you turn a spark in to a flame? Take your spark to the flame. Find other people that are
on fire.
- What’s your spark? What are you interested in?
- We have to stop stopping
Dean
- When we are selling, we are animated, moving, smiling, shoulders back
Homework
1. How did you feel about sales before today?
Nervous to have the sales conversations.
2. How do you feel about sales after today?
Much better. Shifting from a selling mindset to a service mindset. Need to keep reminding
myself to do this reframe. What I offer greatly benefits the person I am talking to and by them
buying my program, helps to accelerate their growth + impact.

- We have one shot at this beautiful life
- When you know who you are at your core, knowing your values, it helps you live with alignment &
with integrity
Dean
- What have you failed at lately? Not much? Why not? ~Sara Blakely’s dad
- If you are feeling uncomfortable, congratulations. Change is on the way.
- When life pulls you back, you need something to help push you forward. Find a support group.
- Be disturbed with inaction. Life will try to get us to play small.
- What if it was a year from now, and we are back here celebrating… it was the best year of your
life, what had to have happened?
- We all need something to push our life towards.
- Visualize where you’ll need to be
- Attach an emotion to it. Why would you want to have that life? Go deep on your why. Tap in to
your heart
- Focus more on the why vs the how
- If your why is strong enough, you will find the how
Story/Teach/Action Framework
Story
- All good training starts with a story (a scene in your life)
- Tell compelling story. You don’t have to tell the whole story, just a scene
- The scene is there to setup you know what you do, that you are an authority
- When you share stories, it helps people relate, which builds trust
- Creates intrigue, curiosity
- The story starts the teaching. It’s a setup.
- But then I realized…
- Give them what they want and sneak in what they need
Teach
- Teach pieces of your story
- Teach about your life experiences
- As you tell your scene, what pieces can you teach? These become your modules
- Position (and reference) everything around what you are selling. Be smart with how you title your
modules. If course is Beauty & Confidence… Module name: Beauty hack #1. Not Mindset Module
- NET time – No Extra Time. Multitask. Ie. Listen to a podcast while you are working out.
- This is how I did it…
Action
- Success work – do the work now. Do it before moving on.
- Help them gain momentum.
- An action can be anything as long as it helps them move towards where they want to go. Just get
them to do something. It doesn’t have to be that extreme.
- What action step could you give somebody for your product or service offering?
- If stuck, ask yourself, what did you need?
- What is something you wished someone asked you to do early in your journey?
- Sell What You Know Framework
- It’s Time to Thrive. Barrier to entry is incredibly low right now.
- The best thing about your 1st sale … increases your confidence and shows it’s possible
Rachel Miller
- Mom of 6 - social media expert
- Life can change quickly
- We are in the crowd now, and next year we can be presenting on a Tony & Dean event
- We are not meant to survive, we are meant to thrive
- We all have some sort of message in us
- Find your audience. Share content with them.
- Share your scenes with them. Create a photo, video & conversation starter.
- For Action steps... Create a photo, video & conversation starter.
- Connect with DOT
3 rules
1. At least 1 million people in that market
2. Something you can picture a million dollars in.
3. Something you could spend 1 million minutes you could see yourself working on.
- Find your perfect person, and then ask them to help you find other perfect people.
• Use a sifting question to help you find your audience
• Post a question to get your perfect people to respond
• Then you are going to interact. Engage at least 5x per post
• Then put them in to an interest list. In FB, put them in to a list with similar people.
- Entice – I have a week of recipes for low carb people, who wants it for free?
- Sell, serve & make a difference
Matthew McConaughey
- Red light (have stopped us for so long), yellow light, green light
- Not getting what you want, sometimes gets you what you need
- Appreciate the lessons while you are in them
- Value delayed gratification
- The world tells us different what failure really is
- It takes courage to share your vulnerabilities
- People overanalyze. People overthink. Less talk, more do!
- Just make a choice. Quit wasting time… Decide.
- How do we know if we are right, if we are not willing to be wrong sometimes
- If you don’t give it a shot, you’ll never know
- I win or a I lose based on my efforts
- Take uncomfortable action
- Help future generations with the truth from the past
- If you could only share 1 thing, what would you share with your 20 yr old self?
- Self doubt is cumulative. It stacks and kills momentum.
- Imagine at the end of your life, you get to meet your maker. He plays a video of the person you
could have been. What would you like to see in the video?
- Your journey can help other people’s journey.
- “I don’t like not knowing.” We have 3 choices.
1. Do nothing and you won’t know what happens
2. Try and it doesn’t work out. At least you know.
3. Try and it works out. Awesome. Congrats for taking action. You know!
Homework
1. What are 1-2 teaching points you could share to help people achieve results?
(ex. here are 3 skills you must know to be the best wedding photographer in your city, here are
3 vegan recipes you can master now, etc)
2. What is a story you could share with people to relate with you more?
(share a story about how you overcame an obstacle or pain point your ideal client might have
and relate it to how they also can overcome that challenge)

- You get inspired through your journey and then want to help someone else
- You are your 1st rescue
- When you have a breakthrough, you want to give it to other people
- People can be inspired by your existence
- You are here because of divine design
- Stop surviving. Stop hanging in there. Stop just getting by.
- This is a time where you do everything you can to turn your dream in to your reality. And then
turn your reality in to someone else’s dream.
- Stretch like you’ve never stretched before
- Pick your what. Who do you want to be remembered as?
- Turn ordinary in to extraordinary
- Make a decision
- Make it uncomfortable to sit on your butt.
- Your conviction and your convenience doesn’t live on the same block.
- Look back on your life and be able to say… I played full out.
- Go to the edge, and take the leap
- Stand Up. Stand Out.
- I’m ready to see who I can become
- Can I do it even if I’m scared. Yep. Yep you can. Let’s goooooo!!!
- Do it. Do it.
- On the other side of uncomfortable is another side called possibility.
- Our heroes & mentors have had scary moments as well
- Have a dream bigger than you
- Make a way out of a ‘no way’ ~Martin Luther King
- MLK had fears and uncertainties. Was about to give up. But still stood up and helped change the
world for so many.
- This is YOUR time. Take your dreams and make them a reality.
- Hook your caboose to someone else’s train. Find a mentor. Find a coach.
- If you don’t do you, you won’t be done.
- You are an unrepeatable miracle
- You are in the right place at the right time with the right people having the right conversations
- While we are hear, let’s make our dash dash. 1976 (birth date) - ?
- Rise up. Say yes to you.
- On the other side of discomfort is a whole new you.

- Let your learning lead you to action
- A leader means you do things on your standards, on your terms
- #1 skill of a leader… a skill of influence. Thoughts, feelings, emotions of others.
- You have to influence yourself first
- What are the things that tend to influence you
- There are invisible forces that influence us
- The most powerful invisible force is human emotions
- Everything from life comes from human emotion
- Become emotionally fit
- Develop a pattern of doing the things you don’t want to do
- Learn the philosophy of stretching
- When you say “I can’t?” … switch to “I must”, and take immediate action.
• As long as it’s not dangerous, and it’s good for you and it helps you towards your goals
- Fear stops you. Our brain is designed to help us survive. Fight, flight or freeze. This is survival brain.
- How to deal with fear…
• I experience the life I focus on
• What’s wrong is always available. What’s right is also available.
• Direct your focus. Don’t let fear control you.
• Whatever I feed, grows. When you feed fear, you become more afraid.
• Focus on what you want, not what you are afraid of. Racecar analogy. Don’t focus on the
wall. If you do, your head turn to the wall, and so does your wheel. Where your focus
goes, your energy goes.
- If you focus on what you want, are you guaranteed to not hit the wall? No. But if you focus on
the wall, are you guaranteed to hit it, yes. Increase your probabilities.
- What really makes people happy? Progress.
- Progress = Happiness
- You are not supposed to sit at the table of success for too long, you get bored. You want to
continue progressing.
- There is no too small. Every small step, every small action helps.
- How are you doing on your dream?
- Put yourself in the arena
- When would now be a good time?
- If you learn without action, you are a fool
- Don’t just make a decision, make a commitment.
- Resolve – promising yourself you will never give up and you will make it happen
- It’s time for you to decide, commit and resolve.
- Don’t ever leave the site of making a decision without immediately committing to do something.
While you are in state.
- I hoped you enjoyed the 5th day.
