- For short and long adjectives, it’s always the same form for the comparative: - By far the most … / -est
As + adjective + as => Ex: English is as easy as German. Brazil is by far the largest country in South America.
- An equality with the superlative doesn’t exist. - One of the most … / -est
Baghdad is one of the oldest cities in the world.
3. When you have an inferiority between two things: - The second/third most … / -est
- For short and long adjectives, it’s always the same form for the comparative: Birmingham is the second biggest city in England.
Less + adjective + than => Ex: July is less cold than January
- For short and long adjectives, it’s always the same form for the superlative: => These superlatives phrases are often followed by in + place
The least + adjective => Ex: This is the least interesting movie of the year!
