INTRODUCTION
A stock market, equity market, or share market is the aggregation of buyers and sellers
of stocks (also called shares), which represent ownership claims on businesses; these may
include securities listed on a public stock exchange, as well as stock that is only traded privately,
such as shares of private companies which are sold to investors through equity
crowdfunding platforms. Investment is usually made with an investment strategy in
mind. Trade in stock markets means the transfer (in exchange for money) of a stock or
security from a
seller to a buyer. This requires these two parties to agree on a price. Equities (stocks
or shares)
confer an ownership interest in a particular company.

Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE)
BSE Limited, also known as the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), is an Indian stock
exchange which is located on Dalal Street in Mumbai. Established in 1875 by cotton
merchant Premchand Roychand, a kumauni businessman, it is the oldest stock
exchange in Asia, and also the tenth oldest in the world. The BSE is one of the world's
largest stock exchanges by market capitalization.
Bombay Stock Exchange was started by Premchand Roychand in 1875. While BSE
Limited is now synonymous with Dalal Street, it was not always so. In the 1850s, five
stock brokers gathered together under a Banyan tree in front of Mumbai Town Hall,
where Horniman Circle is now situated. It was listed on NSE on 03 February, 2017.

Relations and Functions
● Relations - A relation R from a non-empty A to a non-empty set B is a subset
of the cartesian product A × B. The subset is derived by describing a
relationship between the first element and the second element of the ordered
pairs in- A
A ×relation
B.
● Functions f from a set A to a set B is said to be a function if every element of
set A has one and only one image in set B. In other words, no two distinct elements of B
have the same pre-image.
Types of Relations
● Reflexive Relation - A binary relation R defined on a set A is said to be reflexive if, for
every element a ∈ A, we have aRa, that is, (a, a) ∈ R.
● Symmetric Relation - A binary relation R defined on a set A is said to be symmetric if and
only if, for elements a, b ∈ A, we have aRb, that is, (a, b) ∈ R, then we must have bRa, that
is, (b, a) ∈ R.
● Transitive Relation - A relation R is transitive if and only if (a, b) ∈ R and (b, c) ∈ R ⇒ (a,
c) ∈ R for a, b, c ∈ A
● Equivalence Relation - A relation R defined on a set A is said to be an equivalence relation
if and only if it is reflexive, symmetric and transitive.

Since no element (a, a) belongs to f(Reliance Industries) where a belongs to f(Reliance Industries)
Hence, it is not reflexive
Here, (a, b) belongs to f(Reliance Industries) but there is no (b, a) that belongs to f(Reliance Industries)
Hence, it is not Symmetric
Here, (a, b) , (b, c) belongs to f(Reliance Industries) but no(a, c) belongs to f(Reliance Industries)
Hence, it is neither transitive
So, it is not an equivalence relation
Functions:
Here, each element has a unique image
So, it is Injective
And, no element has two or more images
So, it is not Surjective.
Hence, it is not bijective
