Spurs have been handed a double injury
boost ahead of Sunday’s North London
Derby with Arsenal in the Premier
League.
Ange Postecoglou is set to welcome back
Micky van de Ven and Dominic Solanke to his
matchday squad for the game at Tottenham
Hotspur Stadium after both players were
passed fit.
The Dutch defender missed the 2-1 defeat to
Newcastle United with a knee problem,
forcing him to pull out of the Netherlands
squad during the international break.
Solanke has been out of action since suffering
an ankle injury on his debut against Leicester
City on the opening weekend of the
campaign.

But Postecoglou was able to give a “fairly
positive” when speaking ahead of the Arsenal
game in his pre-match press conference.
“Micky’s good, he’s trained all the way
through the international break and it was
good for him to stay with us to build him back
up so he’s ready to go,” he said.
“Dom’s improved as well and trained the back
half of this week. We still have two days to go
with those guys, so hopefully they get
through training okay and are available..
However, Yves Bissouma may miss the derby
after returning from international duty with
Mali with an injury.
“We had the last of the boys in late [on
Thursday] so we’ll have a look at them today
and everyone’s reporting all well except for
Yves Bissouma. He’s got a bit of an issue, but
we’ll have a look at him over the next couple
of days and see how it settles.”
On Bissouma, Postecoglou added: “It’s not
serious, but he’s getting treatment today.
We’ll see how it goes.”
“It’s a tweak in his groin. The initial reports is
it’s not serious which means there is a chance
for Sunday, which tells me it’s nothing
significant.
“If he doesn’t make Sunday, then I’ll assume
he’ll be right for after that. At the same time,
he’s just come off a long flight, you never feel
great anyway, we’ll see how he trains
tomorrow and that will give the best
indication.”
Richarlison and young striker Will Lankshear
have been ruled out for Spurs. “Richy’s still
got a bit of work to do, alongside Will
Lankshear who is still in rehab.”
