2.0 Introduction
In the world of cinema, there's a movie for everyone—whether it's the adrenaline rush of
action-packed scenes, the heartwarming charm of romantic tales, or the laughter-inducing
antics of comedies. Each person's taste in movies is like a fingerprint, unique and personal.
Understanding how these preferences influence various aspects of life can offer valuable
insights into the intricate relationship between entertainment choices and personal experiences
This online survey seeks to explore the impact of movie preferences on the lives of
computer science students at UiTM Jasin, Melaka. By examining how their cinematic choices
affect their social interactions, educational endeavors, daily routines, and physical activities, we
aim to uncover the ways in which movies shape the experiences and perspectives of these
students.
Through a thorough analysis of survey data, our goal is to reveal the multifaceted role
that movie preferences play in the lives of computer science students at UiTM Jasin, Melaka. By
understanding the connections between cinematic tastes and various aspects of student life, we
hope to provide valuable insights that can inform future research and contribute to a deeper
understanding of the complex relationship between entertainment preferences and personal
well-being.

3.0 Sampling Technique
● Convenience Sampling
Our group decided to use Convenience Sampling which refers to a type of sampling
method.This is one of the non-probability sampling which is taken from a nearby segment of the
population. By using convenience sampling, we aim to the most conveniently available people,
who meet the study criteria, as our respondents. The requirement for the sampling strategy is
that participants willingly participate to fill in our form.Moreover, since the only need for this kind
of sampling approach is whether the participants consent to participate, no simple random
sample has to be created. One benefit of convenience sampling is cost effectiveness.As a
result, it is the easiest and fastest way to collect samples.
First, when using convenience sampling, we choose the population we would like to
research.All the observations that we wish to investigate make up a population.Participants in
this initiative are students from UiTM Jasin. The next step is to choose the size of our sample.
For our sample size, we decided to choose students from CS110 part 4 of Uitm Jasin as our
sample.Then we would choose our sample at random .Finally, we compile all the data that we
gather from our sample.

4.0 Data Collection Method
● Online questionnaire (Google form)
In this project, we use the questionnaire method which is the simplest and most often
used method. Questionnaire is a written set of questions that are given to people in order to
collect facts or opinions about something. We choose this method because it is the most
convenient way to distribute the form and the respondents can also answer it anytime. Besides,
this method also requires less cost, which is we just create it by using Google form and share it
through social media. In addition, the duration for this project is also long enough for us to
collect data from many respondents. The respondents are free to answer based on their
experience and opinion. Finally, we will close the Google form and no longer accept any
responses once we reach our target which is 50 respondents. Then, we will start evaluating the
data.

6.0 Conclusion
In conclusion, we can see from our study on the movie preferences of CS110 part 4
students at UiTM Jasin, it's clear that while academics are important, students also value leisure
activities like watching movies. This highlights the need for a well-rounded approach to student
well-being, including fun activities that match their interests.
Most students really like horror movies. Even with busy schedules, they still find time,
usually 1-2 hours a week, to enjoy movies. Netflix is the go-to platform for many, showing how
popular online streaming has become. Also, students are willing to spend RM11 to RM20 on
movies, showing that entertainment is a big part of their lives.
Understanding what movies students like is crucial for making campus entertainment
better. By providing what they enjoy, UiTM Jasin can create a more enjoyable experience for
students, making campus life even better.
