how much time has passed and end up doing it over and over. Why Doomscrolling is harmful ? Causes stress and anxiety, leading to burnout. Disrupts sleep patterns, leaving you tired and unfocused. Negatively affects mental health, increasing feelings of hopelessness.

Information Overload: Constant
updates make us feel we need to stay informed. Negativity Bias: Our brains are wired to focus on bad news (as explained by psychologists Rozin and Royzman). FOMO (Fear of Missing Out): We fear missing something important, so we keep scrolling. How can you stop Doomscrolling ? Set time limits: Use apps to restrict social media use to 30 minutes/day. Mindful breaks: Practice mindfulness when you feel the urge to scroll. Ask yourself, “Why am I doing this?” Turn off notifications: Reduce distractions by silencing unnecessary alerts.
