Enhanced Performance Fuel Nozzles

New fuel injection nozzles As a complement to the optimisation of other components of the fuel system,
MAN B&W has developed a new fuel injection nozzle to enhance the
economical operation and high availability of your engine.
The new design consists of a nozzle body with a base and press-fit inserts
of a hard homogenous material which reduces seat wear and withstands
several overhauls. The inserts cannot be replaced separately.
Field trials results In extensive field trials under varying conditions it has been determined that:
: minimum time between overhauls of 4,000 can be expected
: total service lives of at least 10,000 operating hours can be achieved
: improved performance and wear characteristics provide more stable
conditions with regard to smoke and emissions
Availability These new nozzles, known as si--nozzles (si = seat insert) are currently in
production and will replace the previous design. If you would like to benefit
