WORK IMMERSION NARRATIVE REPORT

NAME OF STUDENT: Bron, Devorah D.

SCHOOL: DANIEL B. PEÑA MEMORIAL COLLEGE FOUNDATION INC.

DEPARTMENT ASSIGNED: HR DEPARTMENT

TRAINING DURATION: 10 DAYS / 80 HOURS

INTRODUCTION:

Work immersion is an organized educational program that allows students to obtain

practical experience in a real-world work setting. It usually entails hands-on training or
observation in an industry relevant to the student's topic of study. The purpose of work
immersion is to help students apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings, develop
applicable skills, and gain insight into the expectations and challenges of their desired career.
This experience frequently helps students make educated career decisions and improves their
employability after graduation. Work immersion is a widespread feature of educational
institutions, particularly in high schools and vocational courses, and is sometimes known as
internships, apprenticeships, or on-the-job training (OJT).
Work Immersion is critical not just for teaching students about their chosen career, but
also for demonstrating the realities of work. Students will be exposed to practical work linked to
the track and strand they are pursuing. It also allows folks with no prior expertise to work while
learning. Work Immersion allows the trainee to understand more about his chosen field and
apply what he has learnt in school. It aids in the development of the trainee's competence. Of
course, when a pupil is competent, he will be able to complete tasks satisfactorily. This training
improves one's professionalism in dealing with others. Following the program, the learner will be
able to manage circumstances appropriately and understand how to socialize effectively with his
classmates. He will also be able to work well with others and collaborate well. OJT also
improves the student's critical thinking skills and discipline while he trains in a company. His
capacity to make informed decisions and assess relevant factors will improve.

As a senior high school student in the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) track, I
was assigned to assist in the Human Resources department at the Medical Mission Group
Multipurpose Cooperative (MMG - Albay). This experience was enriching, as I gained valuable
insights into the intersection of healthcare services and effective management. The team's
commitment to community welfare and employee well-being provided a unique perspective on
teamwork, compassion, and efficiency.
My work immersion at MMG-Albay deepened my understanding of the healthcare
industry and honed my professional skills in a real-world setting. It reinforced the importance of
adaptability, communication, and collaboration, which are essential for success in any career.
This experience provided a clearer vision of my future aspirations and practical knowledge to
pursue them confidently. As I approach graduation, I am grateful for the opportunity to learn and
grow within such a meaningful environment and look forward to applying the lessons learned as
I continue my academic and professional journey.

KNOWLEDGE/LEARNING ACQUIRED:

Work immersion at the Medical Mission Group Multipurpose Cooperative-Albay

(MMG-Albay) provides students with a thorough grasp of cooperative operations, notably in the
healthcare and community service sectors. Students learn about the cooperative model, in which
member welfare and mutual advantages take precedence over profits. They see how healthcare
services, such as medical assistance and health education, are managed and delivered while also
learning about the cooperative's financial management, resource allocation, and customer service
procedures. This experience teaches students the importance of ethical behavior, openness, and
community involvement in guaranteeing the cooperative's success.

In addition, the immersion promotes teamwork, collaboration, and leadership abilities as

students meet with professionals from many areas of the cooperative. They see how excellent
collaboration between healthcare staff, administrators, and community members ensures that
services are in line with the cooperative's goals. The experience also teaches them the value of
ethical decision-making, advocacy for community health, and the role of leadership in driving
organizational success. Finally, the immersion program at MMG-Albay provides students with
significant skills and knowledge for future professions in healthcare, cooperative management,
and community development.
