How to Download VPN Software and connect to VPN for the First time

1. Open any browser on your machine and enter https://vpn.iisc.ac.in. Select “iisc.ac.in” group and enter your IISc Email ID &
Password and click on Login.
2. Click on “AnyConnect” and then click on “Start AnyConnect”
3. Click on “Download for Windows” or “Download for Linux” or “Download for Mac OS” depending upon your Operating System.
For Android and iOS download the “AnyConnect Software from Play Store and App Store, respectively.

Once downloaded install the software. In case of Linux add execute permission (chmod +x vpnsetup.sh ) to the setup file an
either install it as root or use sudo. Command # sudo ./vpnsetup.sh
4. Now locate “Cisco Anyconnect” in your device and run the application

5. Enter “vpn.iisc.ac.in” in the dialog box and click on connect.


6. Select “iisc.ac.in” group and enter you IISc Email ID & Password and click on OK

7. Now you are connected to IISc VPN

8. To reconnect to VPN again follow steps 3 onwards.
