STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

INTRODUCTION

I have chosen to pursue a Master’s in Business Analytics because I am deeply passionate about using
data to drive business decisions and improve organizational performance. I have always been
fascinated by the power of data to reveal insights and inform strategy, and I am eager to gain the
advanced skills and knowledge needed to excel in this field.

Throughout my undergraduate studies and professional experience, I have gained a solid foundation
in business, statistics and programming. I have worked on projects that required me to analyse and
interpret data, and I have come to realize that Business Analytics is the perfect blend of my interests
and skills. I believe that this program will provide me with the opportunity to further develop my
analytical and technical skills and become proficient in state-of-the-art analytical tools and
methodologies.

I am particularly excited about the opportunity to work on real-world projects and gain hands-on
experience in the field. I am confident that this program will provide me with the knowledge and
skills needed to make a meaningful impact in the business world and achieve my career goals.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

In any business, you are your own Boss but along with this benefit, you have to constantly work to
reduce the risks and keep the company making profits all the time. For this, a business continuously
requires to work ahead of its competitors. This is only possible if the person of analyses the markets
for which much data will be required.

I am fully passionate and dedicated to learning more about the challenges that come the way of a
business. As a child, I have seen my father go through the ups and downs of the garment business.
Due to some failures in his business accuracy, the business suffered loss. Since then, I have wanted to
discover what can make a business boom. This leaded to my inclination towards focusing on my 360-
degree development. Ensuring Academic performance, participating in extra-curricular activities,
diving deep into research, and then engaging in healthy social discussions about the various facets of
several aspects of career and life have motivated me to set the bar high with small victorious
categorizations that can be chased one by one leading to my final goal.

RESEARCH AND OTHER PRACTICAL EXPIRIENCES

As a Business Administration graduate, I have always been inclined towards how the rapidly
globalized world has created immense opportunities for small and big businesses to expand and
flourish.

During my bachelor's degree in one of the industrial visits followed by a workshop, I came to learned
about the importance of business analytics and how it has become imperative in this competitive
world.
I have researched that acquiring problem-solving and critical thinking skills in today's dog-eat-dog
competition that can help you establish yourself as a decision-maker and a leader as per the current
and upcoming trends has become an absolute necessity. Demonstrating innovative skills that can help
you stand out from the crowd requires obtaining a repertoire of skills. The pandemic has hit the world
economy severely, and now that the nations are reviving their economy, they are relying on
businesses to contribute to the economic development of every country. I have the potential to start
my entrepreneurial venture wherein I can advise different industries on strategy building. At that very
moment, I decided to do my Master’s in Business Analytics as it would help me enter the corporate
world in an area imperative for any business.

In my final year, I started looking for the best institutes from where I could do my Master’s and
concluded that I would study abroad as this subject requires a lot of practical and hands-on
experience. My research showed that some US universities were at the top in offering the course.

As for the subjects of Masters in Business Analytics that interest me the most, I am particularly

discovering patterns and knowledge from large data sets, and I find the idea of uncovering hidden
insights and discovering new trends extremely fascinating. Machine learning, on the other hand,
provides the ability to make predictions and automate decision-making, which I believe has enormous
potential to drive business growth and efficiency. Lastly, statistical modelling is the process of
developing mathematical models to describe and explain data, and I am excited about the opportunity
to gain proficiency in statistical modelling techniques and apply them to real-world problems.

Overall, I am confident that a Master’s in Business Analytics will provide me with the knowledge and
skills needed to excel in this field and make a meaningful impact in the business world.

GOALS

After completing a Master’s in Business Analytics, I see myself working in a data-driven role within a
business or consulting firm, where I can apply my analytical skills and knowledge to help
organizations make better decisions. Some possible roles that I may be interested in include a data
analyst, business analyst, or data scientist.

In the short-term, I would like to gain hands-on experience working on real-world projects and
implementing analytical solutions to drive business growth. I am particularly interested in working
with companies in the retail, finance, or technology sectors, as these industries are heavily data-driven
and have a strong need for professionals with advanced analytical skills.
In the long-term, I see myself becoming a leader in the field of business analytics, either as a manager
or a consultant. I would like to continue building my expertise in data science, machine learning, and
statistical modelling and apply it to solving complex business problems. Furthermore, I hope to
mentor and train the next generation of business analytics professionals, share my knowledge, and
contribute to the development of the field. In ten years, I see myself as a manager leading a team of
data scientists or a lead consultant helping organizations make strategic decisions based on data.
