Air Algerie Worked Example
Based on B737 Winter Recurrent Training 2024/2025 Cycle
CBTA Integrated Recurrent Training
To incorporate CBTA principles into the active Recurrent Training program through
modifying the existing task-based syllabus by mapping pilot competencies to the existing
training events.
Competency Mapping Process
1. Decide which tasks will be used in the recurrent training cycle.
2. Map the most critical pilot competencies to the task that effectively manages and
counters the threat posed by the scenario.
3. Display competency mapping against each task in the instructor lesson plan.
Training events and selected focus competencies should reflect your operational
environment.
Competency mapping to events may be changed at the professional judgement of the
Head of Training (or equivalent role) at any time to suit the training regime, Air
Algerie’s operational needs and feedback from your data analytics.

Emergency Conditions
• Apply the Boeing TEM, PCF, Fly Focus Act and the Monitoring Process in mitigating
threats, errors and Undesired Aircraft States (UAS) to maintain operational control
safety margins.
• Perform flight operations in accordance with published instruction, checklists,
recommended operating techniques and manoeuvre margins.
• Use Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to analyse the consequences of actions taken.
