b. Demonstrate their understanding of the theme and plot structure in a short story.
c. Appreciate the complexity and depth that the elements bring to a short story.

B. Reference: Short story handout or text book passage
C. Materials: Short story handout or textbook passage, Whiteboard or blackboard, marker
or chalk, writing paper and pen or pencil
