This British Standard has been prepared by Technical Committee B/541 and is the
English language version of EN 636-3 : 1996 Plywood Ð Specifications Ð Part 3:
Requirements for plywood for use in exterior conditions, published by the European
Committee for Standardization (CEN).
EN 636-3 was produced as a result of international discussions in which the United
Kingdom took an active part.
BS EN 636-1, BS EN 636-2 and BS EN 636-3 contain requirements which have no direct
relationship with those in BS 6566 : Parts 4, 7 and 8 : 1985. Parts 1 to 8 inclusive of
BS 6566 will be withdrawn in accordance with CEN provisions within six months of
completion of the full package of European Standards covering plywood and related
