This British Standard has been prepared by Technical Committee B/541 and is the
English language version of EN 636-3 : 1996 Plywood Ð Specifications Ð Part 3:
Requirements for plywood for use in exterior conditions, published by the European
Committee for Standardization (CEN).
EN 636-3 was produced as a result of international discussions in which the United
Kingdom took an active part.
BS EN 636-1, BS EN 636-2 and BS EN 636-3 contain requirements which have no direct
relationship with those in BS 6566 : Parts 4, 7 and 8 : 1985. Parts 1 to 8 inclusive of
BS 6566 will be withdrawn in accordance with CEN provisions within six months of
completion of the full package of European Standards covering plywood and related
test methods. These standards are:

Part 3: Requirements for plywood for use in exterior conditions
This European Standard was approved by CEN on 1996-12-05. CEN members are
bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which stipulate the
conditions for giving this European Standard the status of a national standard
without any alteration.
