I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the pupils are expected to:
A. Identify and classify foods into the categories of go, glow, and grow
foods.
B. Explain the importance of each category of food and how they
contribute to overall health and well-being.
C. Plan a balanced meal that includes items from all three food
categories, demonstrating their understanding of nutritional balance.
II. Learning Content:
A. Concept: Basic Food Groups
Topic: Go, Grow and Glow foods
B. Reference: Youtube, Google
C. Materials: pictures of vegetables
D. Values: Health awareness and obeying your parents.
2. Review:
-Last week we celebrate the Nutrition
month, and I ask all of you to bring
healthy foods. Some may not be able
to attend but I am grateful that most of
you were there together with the
vegetables or foods that I asked you to -Some students answer with,
bring. vegetables, fruits, bread and milk.
3. Motivation:
(Teacher will show pictures of foods)
B. Introduction:
-Do you want me to tell you a short
story?
-Are you ready to listen?
-The title of the story is “Chichay and
the Veggies"

IV. Evaluation:
Direction: Classify the following foods according to their basic food group.
V. Assignment:
Create your healthy meal. Cut from old newspaper or magazines some pictures
of food that belongs to go, glow and grow foods and paste it on your notebook.
Don’t forget to label it.
