MODAL VERBS - Class 8 Worksheet
Modals are those helping verbs, which express the ‘mode’ or ‘manner’ of the actions indicated by the main
verbs. They express ability, possibility, probability, permission, obligation, etc. The most commonly used
modals are:
can could
may might
shall should
will would
must ought to
dare
We also use them to do things like talk about ability, ask permission, and make requests and offers:
