for research, provide grants for worthwhile initiatives, and reward researchers
with prizes or promotions. It is important to support applied and multidisciplinary
research.
● Public-Private Partnerships: To address pressing issues, promote cooperation
between government agencies, businesses, and educational institutions.
Companies could support research with money and real-world problems while
reaping the rewards of creative solutions.
Problems in Palestine/Gaza and Research Solutions:
● Water Scarcity and Pollution: The pollution of groundwater, over-extraction,
and seawater intrusion are the main causes of Gaza's acute water shortages.
Developing economical desalination technologies is the research role. Examine
effective systems for recycling and water reuse. Develop innovative methods for
agriculture and households to conserve water
● Energy Crisis:
Problem: Frequent power outages and reliance on expensive fuel create
economic and social challenges.

Question 2 : The results of the study showed that 31.5% of PWD had never
attended schools, 22.0% participated but did not complete their schools. The
study results identified transportation, financial constraints, attitudes
(individuals, peers, parents and teachers), teaching and care provisions,
curriculum and physical access as interacting factors that create barriers to their
education. The study showed that generally there was a low level of utilization of
medical and rehabilitation care as only 7.7% of PWD had received medical or
rehabilitation care during the last year preceded the data collection, while 83% of
respondents would like to receive care. On the other hand, the data analysis
showed that half of respondents (49.9%) are born with a disability and 21.6% of
respondents acquired their disability as a result of disease or illness.
The results of employment status showed that only 11.5% of respondents are
currently in employment (of those above 18 years) and PWD who have more than
two impairments have less or no chance to be employed. Also, results
demonstrated that 29.0% of unemployed respondents are skilled and able to
work; but they lack the opportunity.
The study demonstrated that PWD believing that the main factors that preventing
them from full participation are their disability (90.0%), physical environment
(32.9%), and attitudinal toward PWD (29.2%). Moreover the results disclosed that
8.9% of respondents are totally socially excluded; they are neither attendees nor
invitees to social occasions and are rarely visited in their own homes. Also the
study revealed that 26.2% of respondents felt ashamed of their disability and
never to live with dignity.
Discuss all of the following;
1. Suggested Title and Research Problem:
Title: A Case Study of the Obstacles to Social Participation, Employment, and
Education for People with Disabilities.
Research Problem:
Accessing healthcare, work, education, and social inclusion is extremely difficult for
people with disabilities (PWD). These obstacles result in marginalization and a lack of
opportunity and are influenced by a number of interrelated issues, including financial
limitations, attitudinal biases, physical inaccessibility, and insufficient care services.
2. A. Four Possible Research Objectives:
● To determine the causes of PWD's low educational attainment, such as financial,
physical, attitude, and transportation impediments.
● To examine utilization obstacles and assess the degree of access to medical and
rehabilitation treatment among PWD.
● To evaluate the employment situation of people with disabilities and examine the
obstacles they encounter in finding and keeping work.
● To look into the social inclusion and engagement of people with disabilities, with
an emphasis on obstacles relating to stigma, the physical environment, and
attitudes.
B. Three Hypotheses:
● PWD with less education are more likely to experience financial and
transportation difficulties.
● Poor health outcomes for PWD are largely caused by limited access to medical
care and rehabilitation.
● Environmental and attitude barriers drastically lower PWDs' chances of finding
work and engaging in social activities.
3. Literature Search Focus:
Important Things to Consider:
● Obstacles to PWD education (e.g., curriculum adaption, accessibility).
● PWDs' access to medical treatment and rehabilitation services.
● Employment prospects and discrimination against PWD in the workplace.
● Social stigma and PWD participation in community events.
Useful Resources:
● Scholarly publications (Google Scholar, JSTOR, PubMed).
● International agencies' reports (WHO, UNICEF, UNDP).
● Government reports or local research on Palestine's PWD.
● Books and case studies about policies and inclusion for people with disabilities.
4. Conceptual Framework:
Independent Factors:
● obstacles to education (transportation, budget, curriculum, and teacher attitudes).
● obstacles to employment (discrimination, lack of opportunities, physical
accessibility).
● social isolation (attitudes, physical surroundings, and stigma).
● availability of healthcare and rehabilitation services.
Dependent variables:
● level of education.
● Work status.
● involvement in society.
● PWDs' self-esteem and quality of life.
Mediating Elements:
● degree of impairment.
● quantity of disabilities.
● socioeconomic standing.
5. Key Principles for Research with Children:
1. Informed permission and Assent: Get children's assent and parents' or
guardians' informed permission, making sure they are aware of the procedures,
the goal, and their rights.
2. Protection and Safety: Make sure kids feel comfortable during the research
process by protecting their mental and physical health.
3. Confidentiality: Make sure that reports are anonymous and that all information
pertaining to children is kept strictly confidential.
4. Non-Harmful Procedures: Steer clear of physically and psychologically hurting
or upsetting kids.
5. Dignity and Respect: Show children dignity by respecting their viewpoints and
making sure they are heard.
6. Cultural Sensitivity: When engaging with children and their families, be mindful
of social and cultural standards.
7. Child-Friendly Methods: Make use of research techniques that are age-
appropriate, interesting, and non-threatening for kids to comprehend.
