The article reviews the essence and diagnostics of military personnel moral and psychological
status. It is stated that moral and psychological status is a historically stable term. The term
originates back from the 1990-ies and is now recognized in all modern armies. It is given a
particular role in the increasing importance of alertness of Russian Federation force structures,
their ability to defend national interests and state security.
