Attended the Focus Group Discussion spearheaded by the Brain Truist, Inc. Chaired byformer
Secretary of the NEDA, Dr Cielito Habito being the Chaiperson and Team Leader of their study entitled
“Assessment of the Certification and Enhancement of ATI Learning Site for Agriculture”.

Brain Trust was commissioned by the DA-ATI for the assessment of learning sites. Dr. Habito started
the discussion by presenting what is Brain Trust being the lead in their study on this assessment
together with his partner, Dr. Rex Navarro.

Being in the academe, we served as resource persons on the technology transfer ATI has been
conducting such as on the IPNM Training conducted by the PAFES. And that students were also
encouraged to engaged into entrepreneurship after graduation. Dr. Habito also asked if us in the
academe includes topics on business and marketing when tapped as resource person and I confirmed
that such topic are really included, such as on Agribusiness Opportunities and Marketing of Oyster
Mushroom, and on the cost and return analysis where participants were given flyers for them to be
encouraged to pursue with their livelihood. All other agencies were also asked of their collaboration with
ATI in conducting training at the LSAs.

Other topics were random as Dr. Habito tried to gather other relevant information to help their study
achieve their objectives. Moreso with the roles of each agency who are present in the discussion. There
were also some issues on the accreditation of some LSA who don’t have an area dedicated for the
learning site but were still accredited by the ATI
