Crocheted poncho with 4 stitches cables and popcorn stitch. Poncho worked in 2 equal
pieces and sewed together.
Sizes : unique size, fits until XL, finished measurements: 100x95cm
Yarns : Paintbox yarns 'Simply Chunky' 10 skeins (each skein = 100g/3.5oz,
136m/149yds).
Hook: crochet hook 6.00mm
Gauge: 11stsx8r. DC st(10x10cm, 4x4")
Abbreviations:
This pattern is written in US standard terms
Ch - chain
Sc - single crochet
Dc - double crochet
Fpdc - frontal post double crochet
Bpdc - back post double crochet
4LC - 4 sts left cable
4RC - 4 sts right cable
Fptr - frontal post treble crochet
St, sts - stitches
Pop - popcorn stitch
How to crochet 4LC (4 sts left cable) :
1. Fptr into 3th st
2. Fptr into 4th st
3. Fptr into 1th st working over 2 fptr
4. Fptr into 2th st working over 2fptr
How to crochet 4RC (4 sts right cable):
1. Fptr into 3th st
2. Fptr into 4th st
3. Fptr into 1th st working under 2 fptr
4. Fptr into 2th st working under 2fptr
How to crochet Fpdc:
1. Yo, insert your hook from front to back between the post of first and second dc,
then to front again between the post of second and third dc;
2. Yo, draw loop through, (yo, draw through 2 loops on hook) twice.
How to crochet Bpdc:
1. Yo, insert your hook from back to front between the post of first and second dc,
then to back again between the post of second and third dc;
2. Yo, draw loop through, (yo, draw through 2 loops on hook) twice.
How to crochet popcorn stitch
Crochet 5 dc into same stitch, drop loop from hook, insert hook from front to back in
top of first dc of group, pull dropped loop through stitch.
Instructions
Change the 1th dc of every rnd with ch 3 as foundation ch!
Ch72
1 r. Dc in every ch st;
2 r. Dc13, fpdc1, bpdc4, dc1, bpdc4, fpdc1, dc24, fpdc1, bpdc4, dc1, bpdc4, fpdc1,
dc13;
3 r. Dc13, bpdc1, 4RC, pop1, 4LC, bpdc1, dc24, bpdc1, 4RC, pop1, 4LC, bpdc1, dc13;
4 r. Repeat row 2;
5r. Dc13, bpdc1, 4RC, dc1, 4LC, bpdc1, dc24, bpdc1, 4RC, pop1, 4LC, bpdc1, dc13;
6 r. Repeat row 2.
Repeat rows 3-6 for 95 cm.
Crochet second equal piece.
Sew both pieces as follows:
NECKLACE
Round 1.Sc around necklace
Round 2. *fpdc1, bpdc1* repeat until end
Repeat round 1 for 10 cm (turn work after each round).
