Subject - Cover Letter - Application for MiPrep Program at Monash Health

To,
The Miprep Honorary Program,

I am writing to express my keen interest in the MiPrep honorary Program advertised on your website. With
my strong foundation in medicine, recent experience working within the Australian healthcare
system, and unwavering dedication to patient care, I am con dent I possess the quali cations and
drive to excel in this role.

During my student exchange elective at the Northern Hospital, Victoria, I re ned my clinical abilities in
a variety of settings and obtained invaluable rsthand knowledge of the Australian healthcare
system. I took an active part in cardiology and emergency medicine rotations, shadowing seasoned
doctors who taught me about the most recent treatments and how to execute procedures like
echocardiograms and USG-guided IV cannulation. This experience not only broadened my medical
knowledge but also allowed me to adapt to the specific workflows and practices within Australia.

My quali cations are as follows:-

1. AHPRA registration:- - eligible for limited Registration.
2. Australian Healthcare experience: - Yes, Student Elective at Northern Hospital Epping, Vic
3. Work Experience:- - PGY - 3
4. Work Permit:- - Hold full unrestricted work rights in Australia.
5. Recency of practice:- - Yes, No clinical gap since graduation from medical school.

My current work experience in the role of PGY-3 Hospital Medical Officer at Giriraj Multi-speciality
Hospital, Rajkot and PGY 1/2 Internship working as honed my clinical skills, helped me develop efficient
clinical practices in a busy setting and enabled me to swiftly coordinate work between a multi disciplinary
team of healthcare providers.

My dedication to patient-centered care aligns perfectly with the core values of Monash Health. My
experience assisting Internal Medicine residents during the COVID-19 pandemic has instilled in me a
strong commitment to delivering fast, effective, precise and yet compassionate healthcare under pressure.

Monash Health is internationally recognised for its outstanding clinical practice and medical education. It
is truly priceless to have the chance to learn under your renowned professors, obtain supervised
clinical practice as an Honorary HMO, and obtain limited APHRA registration. The Miprep programme
is the essential step I need to close the gap between my educational background and my goals of
becoming a physician in Australia.

My dedication to medicine, combined with my eagerness to learn and my positive attitude, makes
me a perfect candidate for the Miprep program. I am confident that my previous experience,
coupled with the exceptional training you offer, will enable me to become a valuable asset to your
team and the Australian healthcare system.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I have attached my CV for your review and welcome the
opportunity to discuss my qualifications further in an interview

Sincerely,
Dr. Meet Mehta
