Today we get together to talk about the injustice Within this big world that prides itself on their
innovations. Still, more times than not we overlook the most vulnerable people like children.
Despite global advancements, the absence of adequate child labor laws continues to allow this
injustice to persist, and it’s time we recognize this issue and take action. As we take our time to
fight and only care about the things that make our lives better, we forget about larger issues like
the lack of child labor laws. How can a global social issue like child labor be overlooked so
easily?
Continents such as Africa, Asia, and the Middle East had no laws protecting children's rights
against forced labor. In Africa, about 160 million children are forced to work in horrible working
conditions, and about 1 in 4 children are engaged in child labor(stated by (unicef.org). There are
many different places/working conditions where these children are working. For example, many
children work in coffee plantations in countries like Colombia, Tanzania, and Kenya. We should
know that these kids are people like us with goals and dreams, as we fight the widespread
injustice of child labor. The battle against child labor is a battle for humanity itself. Every action
we take to end child labor contributes to a more fair and caring society. To safeguard children
around the world, we need to raise awareness, speak louder, and demand strict legislation. In
addition to improving individual lives, creating an atmosphere where each child succeeds sets
the way for a better future for all of humanity.. Many Children frequently work long hours in
dangerous working conditions to make clothes for many major brands like Zara and H&M, which
have been ashamed of having child labor. While We are getting materialistic ideas these kids
are working in very harsh working conditions like factors making our items. These kids have No
protection, no rights just getting paid half of an adult working there. Imagine a society in which
all children, regardless of their background, have the opportunity to sit in a classroom and look
with surprise and interest. A culture that appreciates their future and develops their potential
while supporting their goals. This is the world we need to work for. To effectively eliminate child
labor we need to improve international cooperation. The mistreatment of children in a single
nation can have a far-reaching effect in today's interconnected society. We can create a culture
where every child's rights are honored and maintained by working together, sharing best
practices, and giving support to one another. As we stand here today, let us not forget that the
kids we are trying to protect are people with the hopes and the desires to affect our future. Let's
make a solid commitment to this cause. For those who are unable to speak for themselves, let
us be their voice, and put in endless effort to build a society in which no young people are taken
advantage of and can reach their full potential.
