To produce globally competitive and morally upright professionals in Hospitality and Tourism Management industry.
BSTM Program Objectives
1. To develop competent Tourism and Hospitality graduates for global competitiveness.
2. To provide the students with updated knowledge and skills through instruction, seminars, conferences, training and educational
tours.
3. To conduct researches relevant to the program.
4. To establish linkage with the Department of Tourism, hotels, resorts, restaurants, travel agencies, airline industry and other
related establishments for the internship and placement of graduates.
5. To conduct trainings and seminars in the community such as tourism awareness, tour guiding, handicraft, delicacies making and
marketing.
6. To engage in entrepreneurial activities that involves ticketing and tour packaging to generate income.
7. To inculcate positive attitudes and desirable values.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Students will be able to understand tourism planning as a process and s a set of technique for sustainable tourism development
giving importance on the physical environment and the social, cultural, and political realities of planning and policy making.
COURSE OUTCOMES:
At the end of the course, the students would be able to:
1. Discuss and explain the prerequisites for effective tourism plans and product development.
2. Discuss the dimensions of tourism policy planning and product development.
3. Analyze the different tourism platforms and determine different potential forms of tourism.
4. Understand and analyze the definition of tourism policy, tourism planning, and tourism product development.
