Engine and Component Rebuild Shops
• Detroit Diesel engine overhauls are performed in our fully equipped rebuild shop
by factory-trained technicians.
• MSI is also one of the only companies in the country to offer an in-house component
rebuild shop, with essential tooling for cleaning, inspecting and refurbishing component
engine parts.
• Latest product improvements are incorporated into all engine rebuilds, and each
component part is re-qualified by technicians.
• Engines are pre-lubricated and a start-up procedure is performed after each assembly.
• Pre-loaded cylinder kits and complete rebuilt cylinder head assemblies in our in-house
facility are dispatched with field service technicians or used by our own in-house engine
repair shop.

MSI’s parts and engine exchange inventory fills the engine demands of the
marine industry.

ready for immediate delivery, significantly reducing our customers’ downtime.

• Factory-trained Service Managers coordinate all field service repairs and
dispatch factory-trained technicians for minor and major engine repairs in

• MSI field service technicians arrive at a job site with all necessary tooling and
factory-certified parts to perform the job.
• Technicians also perform scheduled preventative engine maintenance and
inspections at vessel and rig locations.
