Additional Marriage Requirements for Civil Weddings
in the Philippines

Aside from the common documents, you will also need to secure
additional requirements for your civil marriage if you and/or your
partner fall under these specific conditions:

1. You and/or your partner are/is 18-21

Parental Content

If 26 ung isa at ung isa ay
21 kailangan nyo lang ng isang parental consent yung sa 21 years old parents
lang.

● Parents’ Personal Appearance

Both of your parents need to have an appearance and valid IDs. If

your parents are no longer with you, you can get consent from a legal

guardian. If you don’t have anyone to give you consent, you’ll need to

have an A davit of Consent signed in front of two witnesses.

Why are these part of the civil wedding requirements in the

Philippines? Sometimes, when young people are in love, they instantly

want to get married without considering the consequences. Parents

can provide you with great advice and guidance on your decisions.

There are also those who are forced into marriages against their will

(e.g. an 18-year-old female to a 30-year old male). Parents have the

right to protect their child by not giving consent.

2. You and/or your partner are/is 22-25
● Parental Advice

Kung kayo ay 22-25 years old eto naman ang inyong kailangan,
kailangan ninyo mag submit ng Parental Advice as part of your civil

wedding requirement.

3. You and/or your partner are/is widowed

If you are currently widowed, retrieve the Death Certificate of your

deceased spouse from any Serbilis Service Center. You can include it in

your application for other civil wedding requirements in the Philippines

that will need to secure from the PSA.

4. You and/or your partner are/is annulled

Get a Certificate of Registration from the Local Civil Registrar to

register for your Annulment Papers. You will be issued a Certificate of

Finality of Annulment by the Court. The certificate should have the
name of the judge or the court that issued the decree. It also needs to

include the case number and the date it was issued.

5. You and/or your partner are/is a foreigner

STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO PLANNING YOUR
CIVIL WEDDING IN THE PHILIPPINES

1. Choose the wedding date and time

withing this time frame. Or pwede din naman in advance ung mga venue sa reception
or kung plano ninyo magpakasal sa private place. In general kase mas maganda mag

wedding ok na ung within 120 days.

2. Book Your Venue

Like I said kung gusto ninyo sa private place pwede ito basta sabihan

example. private rest houses, quaint restaurants, beach resorts, and

lake ranches.

wedding no problem! Mga iba after nila sa magpakasal sa city hall or

courtroom. Mag llunch sila sa mga restaurant with their witness at
family.
3. Inform your witnesses and guests

Or via EMAIL. At

4. Plan your attire

As long as sumusunod kayo sa

dress code (no sando, slippers, shorts, or sleeveless shirts)

The bride can wear a fabulous maxi dress, a stylish three-piece suit, or
even a cosplay outfit of their favorite character! For the groom, you

can experiment too. The good thing about civil weddings is that you
have the freedom to personalize and be adventurous. What matters is
that what you wear to your civil wedding makes you feel beautiful and

special on your big day.

5. Decide on the menu

FOOD IS IMPORTANT!! Civil wedding or traditional wedding man yan!

kase may freedom kayo to choose your catering.

for your lunch/dinner.

6. Don’t forget to decorate!

Most reception venues for civil weddings in the Philippines will allow
you to decorate, so take advantage of that. Add a personalized

backdrop, decoration to the chairs, or make the atmosphere more

romantic with some dramatic lighting. For instance, if you decide to

hold your reception in a restaurant, you can dim the lights and add
lanterns or fairy lights to make the venue look more whimsical.

7. Make it your own or do all the traditions that you like

Like cutting

the cake, the first dance, or the throwing of the wedding bouquet. You
can even have all of the usual wedding games too!
8. Send o your guests with wedding giveaways

We’ve come to the last step in preparing for a civil wedding in the
Philippines – planning giveaways! As you have a smaller number of

guests, it’s easier and more a ordable to make your own giveaways,
even if you’re a beginner when it comes to arts and crafts. If you love

to bake or, you can even give out homemade cookies or your signature

pasta sauce that everyone loves. Any small token is made more special

when it’s handmade by the giver.

Remember: Civil Weddings Are Just as Special

Civil weddings in the Philippines are great for couples who want a
practical wedding or want to get married without so much of the

fanfare and expenses. It can still be beautiful without hurting your

wallet and it’s an ideal alternative if you and your partner come from

di erent religious backgrounds (or you are both not religious at all).

Planning a civil wedding takes e ort and time but once you follow the

steps above, you’ll be able to pull it o and have a celebration that

everyone will remember.

WEDDING FLOOR PLAN ON RECEPTION
TABLE SEAT PLAN
RECEPTION LAYOUT (SAMPLE)

2 layouts samples are the horizontal vip table and parallel vip vertical tables..
Pero..
Note:

This is just a sample, floor plans and layouts are always based kung anung
physical attributes ng venue ng reception. basta importante entrance is wide wag
masikip, vip sa gitna o sa harap, couple and family may sariling table, may dance
area or dance floor, always know where your LCD projector will be placed, your
cake sa left o right goes opposite with your souvenirs & others to give balance,
always plan where to put your technical group including the media mahalaga
yun. Tapos yung buffet and cocktail station nyu di alanganin at masikip,. So
always double check walk flow and traffic .. ok walang specific lay out depende
pa rin po sa trip nyo..

SEAT PLANNING – To organize a well seated guest, mas ok na may seatplan

siguro kaya sya hanggang 150 to 200 naka seat plan.. actually di nyo naman
need I seat plan lahat focus lang kayo sa vip at secondary sponsors the rest
pwede na free seated or if you want to have specific individuals to surely to be
seated together seat plan is the key. so you assign your seat plan accordingly,
make a master list, ask the venue kung ilang seaters ba tables nila, always
inform the venue or decorator how many ninongs and ninangs abays and family
you have para may intended seats talaga. Ok? If you know the seating capacity
If 8 seaters ang
table then assign 8 persons dun then make it table 1 names under ok? Alam ko
gets mona ikaw
