Sir/ Madam,
The Marathwada Mathematical Society has been organizing Ramanujan Competition of Mathematics
Knowledge (RCMK) for last Eleven years. It will be conducted this year also. The competition will
be organized in Collaboration with Yeshwant Mahavidyalaya Nanded in the present year 2024-25
The aim of this competition is to improve the knowledge of students in mathematics. This
competition will induce general reading, observations, thinking power for reasoning in mathematics and
hence will help to improve the quality of undergraduate and postgraduate education in mathematics. The
terms and conditions of competition are as follows:
1) This RCMK will be for the regular undergraduate and postgraduate appearing students only.
2) Test will consist of 50 multiple choice questions with 50% negative marking.
3) Time duration will be of 2 Hour only.
4) Separate question paper for UG and PG classes. It will be set on basic knowledge of
Mathematics, Indian Mathematicians along with their contribution to Mathematics and history
of Mathematics. It will also contain questions on Basic Algebra, Calculus, Number Theory,
Differential Equations, Trigonometry, Analysis etc. for UG .There will only one paper for all UG
Classes (BSC I,II & III Years ) and for PG (I and II Years, Based on SET NET Syllabi). Centers

5) Competition will be held tentatively on 09-02-2025(Sunday).
6) There will be first, second and third rank separately for each class. Rankers will be given prizes
of Rs 700/-, Rs 500/- and Rs 300/-, respectively. Successful students will be issued certificates
by MMS.
Kindly convey this information to the students of Mathematics in your college and cooperate for
the said competition by sending the forms , Fees RS 50/-(Fifty Only Pre Student) and the list
