According to the formulation for the Foil and according to the information and/or the
material safety data sheets of our raw material suppliers none of the following
substances are used for the production of the Foil:

The Foil does not contain non-bound nanoparticles nor releases nanoparticles during
intended use.

Additionally we would like to inform you that according to the formulation for the Foil
and according to the information and/or the material safety data sheets of our raw
material suppliers the Foil meets the demands of

 the EU Directive 94/62/EC of December 20th, 1994 and the CONEG (Coalition
of Northeastern Governors, Model Toxics in Packaging Legislation, 12/14/1989)
with regard to the limit of the content of the four (4) heavy metals lead, mercury,
cadmium and chromium (VI) to less than 100 ppm in total; and

 EU Directive 2000/53/EC of December 18th, 2000 (“ELV”) and 2001/118/EC

of January 16th, 2001; and

 the EU Directive 2011/65/EU of June 8th, 2011 (“RoHS 2”) including the
Commission delegated Directive (EU) 2015/863 of March 31th, 2015
(“RoHS 3”), recast of the EU Directive 2002/95/EC of January 27th, 2003
(RoHS); and

 the EU Regulation (EC) No 1005/2009 of September 16th, 2009 (substances

that deplete the ozone layer); and

 the EU Directive 2003/11/EC of February 6th, 2003; and

 the EU Regulation (EU) 2019/1021 of June 20th, 2019 (persistant organic

pollutants); and

 the EU Regulation (EU) 2018/213 of February 12th, 2018 (Bisphenol-A in

3. REACH

According to the EU regulation 1907/2006 dated 18 December 2006 (REACH

Regulation), the Foil have to be classified as article and therefore is not subject to
registration. Therefore, the preparation of a safety data sheet is not mandatory for our
foil products. This means that when processing our foil products, customers are no
longer obliged to check whether special requirements or restrictions due to the raw
materials used have to be taken into account. Furthermore, the Foil (article) complies
with Art. 67 of the REACH Regulation and therefore complies with the restrictions of

 Raw Material Information

As a downstream user, KURZ uses only those raw materials and substances for the
manufacture of its foil products which, according to the information provided by our
suppliers, are not subject to the authorization requirement of Annex XIV and,
according to the SVHC candidate list published on the KURZ website, do not contain
any raw materials with more than 0.1% by weight. For the latest version of the SVHC

4. No individual Inspection

Please note, however that during an industrial production process and due to
ubiquitous influences the listed substances in this Raw Material Information could
always be present in traces and could analytically be identified. Kindly also take note
of the fact that analysis of our Foils for compliance with the above mentioned
legislation(s) is not carried out for each lot. Therefore, regulatory compliance is not part
of our quality control, nor part of the product specification.

Since no examination of each individual production batch is made with regard to

compliance with the a.m. regulations, no guarantee or warranty is provided, that in
every single case the permitted limits might not be exceeded. Upon request and based
on a written agreement we can provide you with tested and certified Foils against
charging a price surcharge as well as the costs for examination by an approved testing
laboratory.

The Foil is normally used on the outside of packaging materials. The Foil is not
designed and developed for the direct contact with food and is not tested for this
purpose. As manufacturer of foil products, we have no influence on the processing
conditions which take place later on; the customer as the responsible manufacturer is
urgently requested to make his own tests, regarding the migration behaviour to food,
in consideration of the standards and regulations specifically applicable for his end
product.

The information provided herein is given with utmost care and according to our best
knowledge and experience as of the date of this Raw Material Information, but NO
REPRESENTATION, GUARANTEE OR WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED IS
MADE AS TO THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY OR COMPLETENESS OF THE
INFORMATION OR TO ANY SPECIAL QUALITY OR FITNESS OF THE FOIL FOR A
SPECIAL APPLICATION. This information does not release the customer from his own
liability for testing the Foil and/or the total end-product/other components according to
the applicable regulations and for care examination, in particular with regard to the
incoming goods inspection and any fitness of the respective Foil for his intended use.
This especially applies to any further production steps including but not limited to
production steps following subsequent to the Foil application and which may have
considerable influence on the result of the application process, but which are
completely out of the control of KURZ.
