Homage to the Buddha
Honour to Him, the Blessed One, the Worthy One,
the Fully Enlightened One.

Such indeed is that Blessed One, Worthy, Omniscient,


Endowed with knowledge and virtue, well-gone,
Knower of worlds, a Guide,
An incomparable Character for the training of individuals,
Teacher of gods and humans, Enlightened and Holy.

Thus indeed is that Blessed One, Worthy,


Worthy indeed is that Blessed One,
To the Worthy One I go for refuge.
With my head I salute the Worthy One.

礼敬佛陀
礼敬世尊,阿罗汉 , 正等正觉者(重复三遍)

他确实是世尊,阿罗汉 , 无上正等正觉 ,
他具有无上的智慧和崇高的品德 , 善逝 ,
他了达宇宙世间的一切真相 ,
他的修行是无人可比拟的,
他能教化与引导一切修行者,
他是天人与人类的导师 ,
圆满神圣 , 已觉悟真理 .

此真实为世尊,阿罗汉。
真正值得礼敬者为世尊,
我归依世尊。
我顶礼世尊。 1

By name He is Arahat as He is worthy.
Even in secret He does no evil.
He attained the fruit of Arahantship.
To Thee, the Worthy One, my homage be.

Thus indeed is that Blessed One, fully Enlightened.


Fully Enlightened indeed is that Blessed One.
To the fully Enlightened One, I go for refuge.
The fully Enlightened One, I salute with my head.

By name He is Sammasambuddha.
The teaching is of the Sammasambuddha.
A fully Enlightened One is He in the world.
To Thee, the fully Enlightened One, my homage be.

他是阿罗汉因此值得礼敬。
甚至于隐秘处,他亦不造恶。
他已证得阿罗汉之果位。
我的归依处,即是您―― 阿罗汉。

真实为圆满证悟者即是世尊。
真正圆满证悟者即是世尊。
我归依圆满证悟者。
我稽首顶礼圆满证悟者。

他被尊称为三藐三菩提(正等正觉)。
他之教诲乃是正等正觉。
他是世间之圆满证悟者。
我的归依处,即是您―― 圆满觉悟者

Thus indeed is that Blessed One,
endowed with wisdom and conduct.
Endowed with wisdom and conduct is that Blessed One.
To Him I go for refuge.
Him who is endowed with wisdom and courage,
I salute with my head.

He is endowed with wisdom and knowledge.


His wisdom is made known.
The past and future He knows.
To Thee who is endowed with wisdom and courage,
my homage be.

Thus is the Blessed One, a Welcome One.


A Welcome One indeed is that Blessed One.
To that Welcome One I go for refuge.
That Welcome One I salute with my head.

此确实为世尊,赋有智慧与德行。
赋有智慧与德行者乃是世尊。
他乃是我的皈依处。
我稽首顶礼赋有智慧与勇气之佛陀。

他赋有智慧与知识。
他的智慧众所周知,
他了知过去与未来。
我皈依您―― 具有无上智慧与勇气者。

此即是世尊,一位善逝(通过纯净之行,走向不死之境)。
真正的善逝乃是世尊。
我归依善逝。
我稽首顶礼善逝。

Lokavidūti nāmena
Atῑtā-nāgate vidū

Sankhārāsatta mokāse

Lokavidū nāma te namo

He is Sugata being self-disciplined.
Being good He is Sugata.
He has gone to the good state of Nibbana.
To Thee the Sugata, my homage be.

Thus indeed is that Blessed One, a knower of the worlds.


A knower of the worlds is indeed that Blessed One.
To the knower of the worlds I go for refuge.
The knower of the worlds I salute with my head.

By name He is Lokavidu.
He knows the past and future.
Things, beings and space He knows.
To Thee the knower of worlds, my homage be.

他乃是自律之善逝。
因至善,他乃是善逝。
他已达至涅槃之善境。
我的皈依处乃是您―― 善逝。

此确实为世尊,一位洞悉全宇宙者。
世尊确实为洞悉全宇宙者。
我皈依洞悉全宇宙者。
我稽首顶礼洞悉全宇宙者。

他被尊称为世间解。
他了知过去洞悉未来。
他了知一切事物、众生以及宇宙。
我尊敬您―― 洞悉宇宙者。

Iti pi so Bhagavā purisa-damma-sārathῑ


Purisa damma sārathῑ vata so Bhagavā

Purisa damma sārathiṃ saranam gacchami

Purisa damma sārathiṃ sirasā namāmi

Thus indeed is that Blessed One, incomparable.
An incomparable One indeed is that Blessed One.
To that incomparable One I go for refuge.
That incomparable One I salute with my head.

By wisdom and conduct He is unrivalled.


An unrivalled One is He in the world.
In this world He is revered as an incomparable One.
That Incomparable One, I salute.

Thus indeed is that Blessed One,


a charioteer for the training of individuals.
A trainer of individuals is that Blessed One.
To that trainer of individuals I go for refuge.
That trainer of individuals I salute with my head.

此确实为世尊,举世无双,
世尊确实为举世无双者。
我皈依举世无双者。
我稽首顶礼举世无双者(无上士) .

他的智慧与德行乃是无可伦比者。
于这世间,他乃是无可伦比者。
于这世间他被尊为举世无可伦比者。
我礼敬那举世无与伦比者(无上士)。

世尊确实能调御(调伏)应被调御者 .
世尊能调御应被调御之众生。
我皈依那调御众生者。
我顶礼那调御众生者。

Yo lokassa sārathῑ
Sārathῑ pūja lokasmiṃ

Taṃ namassāmi sārathi

Iti pi so Bhagavā Satthā

Satthā vata so Bhagavā

Satthāraṃ saranam gacchami


Satthāraṃ sirasā namāmi

Deva yakkha manussānaṃ


Loke agga phalaṃ dadaṃ

Dadantaṃ damayantānaṃ

Purisā-jañña te namo

A charioteer, a charioteer is He of Devas.
He is a charioteer to the world.
He is a respectful charioteer in this world.
That charioteer I salute.

Thus indeed is that Blessed One a teacher.


A teacher indeed is that Blessed One.
To that teacher I go for refuge.
That teacher I salute with my head.

To Devas, Yakkhas and men in this world.


He gives the highest fruits.
The givers He subdues.
To the knower of men, my homage be.

他是天人的领导者。
他是世间的领导者。
于这世间,他乃是受尊重的领导者。
我礼敬那领导者。

世尊乃是真实的导师。
世尊是真正的导师。
我皈依那导师。
我顶礼那导师。

对此世间的天人、夜叉与人类,
他给予最高之果。
他以最高之果降服(度化)他们,
我礼敬人类中的无所不知者。

Bhagga kilesa vāhato

Bhagavā nāma te namo

Ete nava gunā yassa


Sambuddhassa sirῑmato

Namāmi taṃ mahāvῑraṃ

Sabbaññuṃ Dipaduttama

Thus indeed is that Bhagava a Blessed One.
The Blessed One is indeed a Bhagava.
To the Bhagava I go for refuge.
That Bhagava I salute with my head.

The Bhagava is replete with fortune.


He has destroyed all passions.
He has crossed the ocean of sansara.
To that Bhagava, my homage be.

That fully enlightened, noble, great hero,


Who is endowed with these nine virtues,
Who is all-knowing and
A chief of bipeds, I salute.

佛陀乃真实的世尊。
世尊乃是真正的佛陀。
我皈依佛陀。
我稽首顶礼佛陀。

佛陀充满福报。
他已灭除一切杂染(情欲)烦恼,
他已渡过生死轮回之海。
我礼敬佛陀。

那完全证悟、崇高、伟大的英雄,
他赋有此九种德行,
他无所不知。
我礼敬无上两足尊(世尊)。

The Three Refuges

The Five Precepts
I undertake to observe the precept to abstain from
destroying the life of beings.

I undertake to observe the precept to abstain from


taking things not given.

I undertake to observe the precept to abstain from


sexual misconduct.

I undertake to observe the precept to abstain from


false speech.

I undertake to observe the precept to abstain from


anything that may Cause intoxication and heedlessness.

五戒
我愿持守不杀生戒。

我愿持守不偷盗戒。
我愿持守不邪淫戒。

我愿持守不妄语戒。

我愿持守不使用让心迷醉的东西(酒、毒品等)。

Offering of Lights
With lights brightly shining,
Abolishing this gloom, I adore the Enlightened One,
Who dispels the darkness (of ignorance)

Offering of Water
O Lord! The Blessed One,
Please accept this water
As an offering to Thee
Out of great compassion on us.

Offering of Food
O Lord! The Blessed One,
May this food
Be kindly accepted by You
Out of great compassion on us .

供灯
这盏光明灯,
摒除一切黑暗,
我礼敬佛陀,
为我驱散一切黑暗(无明)。

供清水
礼敬佛陀世尊,
这是我们供奉您的清水,
请您慈悲悯受。

供食物

With perfumed incense, from odorous principles,
I worship the Exalted One, worthy of worship,
Who dispels the darkness (of ignorance)

This mass of flowers, fresh hued, odorous and choice.
I offer at the sacred lotus-like Feet
Of the Noble Sage.

礼敬佛陀世尊,
愿您慈悲悯受,
我们所供养之果汁。

我点燃此清香之熏香,
供养世尊佛陀。
我顶礼世尊佛陀,
他为破除一切黑暗(无明)者。

我以清香、色彩艳丽之各种鲜花,
供奉于大圣贤之莲足处。

Puppha’midaṃ pūjemi,
Pūjemi, pūjemi.

Idaṃ puppha-pūjanaṃ
Buddha-Pacceka-Buddha-

Agga-sāvaka-Mahā-sāvaka-

Arahan tānaṃ sabhāva-sῑlaṃ

Ahampi tesaṃ anuvattako homi.

I offer Him, Lord Buddha, with these flowers,
may this virtue be helpful for my emancipation.
Our body undergoes decay,
even as these flowers must fade.

As if He has arisen from Supreme Ecstasy,


the Blessed One, the Holy One, the Perfect Awakened One.
With these flowers, reverentially I make offering.
Reverentially I make offering, reverentially I make offering.

This reverential flower-offering was a virtuous practice


of the Buddhas, the Pacceka Buddhas,
the Chief Disciples, the Great Disciples, and the Arahants.
Nathless, even I am hereby following their Paths.

我供奉这些鲜花于佛陀,
愿此德行,成为我了脱生死之资粮,
我们的躯体会经历腐坏,
有如这些鲜花一样,必然会凋谢。

世尊、大圣贤、圆满之觉者,
他犹如从至高之喜乐处升起。
我至诚地以这些鲜花供奉他,
我至诚地供奉他,我至诚地供奉他。

至诚地供奉鲜花于佛陀、辟支佛、上首弟子、大弟子
与阿罗汉,乃是一种德行。
于此,我追随他们之蹊径。

Lo, these flowers are now of
Beautiful Colours, Sweet Scent, Lovely shapes
But they will soon become discoloured,
malodorous, and unlovely,
So, too, all component things -
They pass away, are pain-laden,
and all things in nature
without exception are soulless.

May this worship, adoration and reverential offering


through the lofty dignity, and power of practice,
tend to extinguish all craving.
May all be released from suffering.

瞧!现今这些鲜花
色彩斑斓,馨香,
外形可爱
但是,瞬间它们将褪色,
恶臭与丑陋
因此,一切组成的东西皆如是,
它们会逝去(无常),
一切有为法皆是苦
一切自然界之事物皆无我。

祈愿此至诚致敬之供奉
通过此崇高之价值与精进修行,
能熄灭一切欲望。
祈愿一切皆能从痛苦中解脱出来。

Such indeed is that Blessed One, Exalted, Omniscient,

To life’s end and till reach Nibbana, my Refuge is the Buddha.

The Buddhas of the ages past,


The Buddhas that are yet to come,

of the Blessed One.

This order of the Disciples of the Blessed One namely,


these Four Pairs of Persons,
is worthy of offerings,
is worthy of hospitality,
is worthy of gifts,
is worthy of reverential salutation,
is an incomparable field of merits to the world.

Stanzas of Victory
Creating thousand hands with weapons armed,
was Mara seated on the trumpeting, ferocious elephant Girimekhala.
Him, together with his army, did the Lord of Sages
Subdue by means of generosity and other virtues.
By the grace of which may joyous victory be mine.

More violent than Mara was the indocile obstinate Demon Alavaka,
Who battled with the Buddha throughout the whole night.
Him, did the Lord of Sages subdue by means of His patience
patience and self-control.
By the grace of which may joyous victory be mine.

吉祥胜利偈
他(魔罗)造了千只持有凶器的手,全副武装,
骑在凶暴的奇里美卡拉(凶象)上,与兵卒一起出现 .
通过布施与其他德行的力量,贤哲慑服了他,
依此仁慈,愿您得吉祥胜利。

更甚于与魔罗彻夜战斗,
凶暴的阿拉哇卡,那顽固的夜叉;
通过忍耐与自制的力量,贤哲慑服他,
依此仁慈,愿您得吉祥胜利。

Dāvaggi cakka’masanῑva sudārunantaṃ


Mettambuseka vidhinā jitavā Munindo

Dhāvaṃ tiyojanapathaṃ’gulimāla vantaṃ

Nalagiri, the king elephant, highly intoxicated,
was raging like a forest fire and was terrible as a thunder-bolt.
Sprinkling the waters of loving-kindness, this ferocious beast,
did the Lord of Sages subdue.
By the grace of which may joyous victory be mine.

With lifted sword, for a distance of three leagues,


did wicked Angulimala run.
Him, did the Lord of Sages subdue by His psychic powers.
By the grace of which may joyous victory be mine.

那拉奇林,那御象,十足被灌醉了,
如林火,如轮利器,如雷电 , 十分可怕;
通过慈悲之洒赐,贤哲慑服他,
依此仁慈,愿您得吉祥胜利。

安酷魔(指曼)身手灵活的,高举着剑,
恶毒的他(惶恐地)与圣者保持着一段距离,
恐怖地跑了三巡的路 .
通过心的神通力,贤哲慑服他,
依此仁慈,愿您得吉祥胜利。

Her belly bound with faggots, to simulate the bigness
of Pregnancy Cinca,
With harsh words made foul accusation in the midst
of an Assemblage.
Her, did the Lord of Sages subdue by His serene and
Peaceful bearing.

Haughty Saccaka, who ignored truth,


was like a banner Controversy,
and his vision was blinded by his own disputations.
Lighting the lamp of wisdom, him,
did the Lord of Sages subdue.

用木条做成木筛装在腹部,使她的腹部胀大起来,
看似怀了孕,
金佳当着群众毁谤尊者;
通过平静及温和的手法,贤哲慑服她,
依此仁慈,愿您得吉祥胜利。

高傲的沙加卡,违背了真理,像是一面受到争论的旗帜,
其心已被争议的思想所蒙蔽;
通过亮起智慧之灯,贤哲慑服他,

The wise and powerful serpent Nandopananda,
the Noble Sage got subdued by psychic powers
through his disciple son – Thera Moggallana.

The pure, radiant, majestic Brahma, named Baka,


whose hand was grievously bitten by the snake
of tenacious heresies,
did the Lord of Sages cure with His medicine of wisdom.

那条蛇,难陀巴难他,聪明又强大,
世尊的大弟子目犍连长老;
通过神通力与指引,贤哲慑服它,
依此仁慈,愿您得吉祥胜利。

被剧烈的、顽固和有邪见的蛇,咬伤了手,
清净,光辉又有神通的梵者是巴卡,
通过智慧之药,贤哲慑服他,

The wise one, who daily recites and earnestly remembers,
these eight verses of joyous victory of the Buddha,
Will get rid of various misfortunes
and gain the bliss of Nibbana.

此是佛陀吉祥胜利之八偈,
谁若能日日诵念且认真背诵;
将能免除许多不幸 / 苦恼 / 危险,
智者可得解脱与快乐。

On one occasion the Blessed One
Was dwelling at the monastery of
Anathapindika in Jeta’s Grove near Savatthi.
Now when the night was far spent,
A certain deity whose surpassing splendour
illuminated the entire Jeta Grove,
came to the presence of the Blessed One,
And drawing near, respectfully saluted Him
And stood at one side.
Standing thus, He addressed the Blessed One in verse -

吉祥经

如是我闻:
有一次,世尊安住在舍卫城附近,
在护法祗树给孤独长者的祗树园精舍。
在深夜里,来了一位非常貌美的天神。
当他趋近时,身上所发出的光芒几乎照亮了整个祗树园。
站在一边的天神,恭敬地以偈向世尊问道 :

Mangalāni acintayuṃ
Ākankhamānā sotthānaṃ

Brūhi mangala muttamaṃ

Asevanā ca bālānaṃ

Many deities and men,
yearning after good,
have pondered on Blessing.
Pray, tell me the Highest Blessing!

Not to associate with the fools,


To associate with the wise,
and honour those who are worthy of honour –
This is the Highest Blessing.

To reside in a suitable locality,


to have done meritorious actions in the past,
And to set oneself in the right course –
This is the Highest Blessing

许多天神及人,
在沉思有关于祝福(吉祥);
祈求安好快乐,
请告诉我吉祥之最。

不亲近愚痴人,
常亲近善知识;
赞叹并恭敬那些值得被恭敬者,
此是吉祥之最。

居住在适宜的环境里,
在过去修行过善业;
自己发愿行正道,
此是吉祥之最。

a highly trained discipline,

The support of father and mother,


The cherishing of wife and children,
and peaceful occupations,
This is the Highest Blessing.

Liberality, Righteous conduct,


The helping of relatives,
And blameless actions –
This is the Highest Blessing.

博学多闻及多艺精巧,
及持有戒行;
受过好的训导及妙言善语,
此是吉祥之最。

护持父母,
爱护妻儿;
正当的职业,
此是吉祥之最。

布施;奉公守法,
善于支持亲人;
无可责难的行为,
此是吉祥之最。

Sight of the Samanas (ascetics)
And religious discussions at due season –
This is the Highest Blessing.

舍离邪恶 , 禁止罪恶,
不沾染麻醉品;
有缘听闻佛法并专注于佛法(真理),
这是吉祥之最。

恭敬 , 谦逊,
知足及感恩;
适时听法,
这是吉祥之最。

忍耐及恭顺,
得见隐修者,
适时讨论佛法,
这是吉祥之最。

He whose mind does not flutter,


By contact with worldly contingencies,
Sorrowless, Stainless and Secure –
This is the Highest Blessing.

To them, fulfilling matters such as these,


Everywhere invincible,
In every way moving happily –
These are the Highest Blessing.

苦道行及梵行,
得见圣谛;
体证涅槃,
这是吉祥之最。

触到俗缘,
心仍旧稳如不动;
无忧、无染、安和,
这是吉祥之最。

(谁)有遵行这一切,
他们所到之处,
就会是处处顺利不败、处处安祥快乐,
这就是他们的吉祥之最。

Whatsoever beings are here assembled,
Whether terrestrial or celestial,
may every being be happy!
Moreover may they attentively listen to my words!

Show your love to humans who,
day and night, bring offerings to you,
Wherefore guard them zealously.

Whatsoever treasure there be –


either here or in the world beyond,
or whatever precious jewel in the heavens –
yet there is none comparable with the accomplished One.
Verily, in the Buddha is this precious jewel,
By this truth may there be happiness!

三宝经
任何在此聚集的众生,
不论是在陆地或在空中,
愿这一切众生平静快乐,
并专心谛听。

所有众生且留心听着。
散发慈悲予人类。
那些日夜供养你们的供奉者
因此且好好用心地保护他们。

任何宝物,在此或在彼,
或天界的珍贵宝藏,

The tranquil Sage of the Sakyas realised
that Cessation, Passion-free, Immortality Supreme
There is nought comparable with that Dhamma.

Is described as “concentration without interruption”
There is nought like that concentration,

Those Eight Individuals, praised by the virtuous,
they constitute four pairs,
They, the worthy of offerings, the disciples of
the Welcome One -
to these gifts given yield abundant fruit,

With steadfast mind, applying themselves


thoroughly in the Dispensation of Gotama,
exempt (from passion), they have attained to that which
should be attained, and, plunging into the Deathless,
they enjoy the Peace obtained without price.

善行者称颂的八辈;四双,
是值得供养的善逝的弟子。
供养将带来大福报。

Just as a firm post, sunk in the earth,
cannot be shaken by the four winds;
even so do I declare him to be a righteous person
Who thoroughly perceives the Noble Truths.

Those who comprehend clearly the Noble Truths,


well taught by Him of wisdom deep,
do not however exceeding heedless they may be,
undergo an eight birth.

恰如深置的强杆
不为来自四面八方之风所动摇。
如此正直的人,我宣告
他已见证了四圣谛。

For him with the acquisition of Insight,
three conditions come to nought, namely -
Self-illusion, doubt and indulgence in (wrong) rites and
ceremonies, should there be any.
From the four states of misery, he is absolutely freed,
and is incapable of committing the six heinous crimes,
Verily, in the Sangha is this precious jewel.
By this truth may there be happiness!

随着卓越的洞察力,
他断除了三法即: 、
邪见、疑惑,
对邪道的执着与其他可能有的腐败行为。
因而脱离四苦道。
他不会再犯六大逆罪。

Whatever evil deed he does,
whether by deed, word or thought, he is incapable of hiding it;
for it hath been said that such an act is impossible,
for one who has seen the Path.

Like unto the woodland groves with blossomed tree-tops


in the first heat of the summer season,
hath the Sublime Doctrine,
that leads to Nibbana been taught for the Highest Good.
Verily, in the Buddha is this precious jewel.

他虽然仍会于身、口、意造恶业,
他却不加以隐瞒。
对于一个(八正)道的智者来说将不可能再造新罪。

those wise ones go out, even as this lamp.

Discourse on Loving-Kindness
He who is skilled in his good
And who wishes to attain that state of calm should act thus -
He should be able, upright, perfectly upright,
Obedient, gentle and humble.

Contented, easily supportable,


with few duties, of light livelihood,
Controlled in senses, discreet, not impudent,
Not be greedily attached to families.

He should not commit any slight wrong


such that other wise men might censure him.
May all beings be happy and secure,
May their hearts be wholesome!

慈心经
一个善行者希望得心境安宁,
必须如是去行为:
(他应当)能干、真诚、绝对忠实恭顺,
温文但不骄傲。

知足、易于护持、
少责身轻,简朴、
五官安祥及有智慧;不粗鲁,
不贪着家庭。

他不应犯上即使是至小的过错,
那是会令智者感到遗憾的。
而他应思维:愿一切众生愉悦,
愿他们快乐与平安。

those who are born
and those who are to be born –
May all beings, without exception, be happy minded!

Let none deceive another


Nor despise any person whatsoever in any place.
In anger or ill-will,
let him not wish any harm to another.

任何存在的众生,
不论是弱或强、是高大或壮实、
矮小或中等体积、瘦小或肥胖。
那些可见到或不可见到的,

那些居住在远或近的,
那些已出生的,
或那些等待诞生的,
愿一切众生快乐。

愿无一人怨恨他人,
或在任何地方轻视任何人,
怀着嗔恨或恶意,
愿他们不互相伤害对方。

Just as a mother would protect her only child,
At the risk of her own life.
Even so let him cultivate a boundless heart
towards all beings.

Let his thoughts of boundless love pervade the whole world:


above, below and across
without any obstruction,
without any hatred, without any enmity.

Whether he stands, walks, sits or lies down,


as long as he is awake,
he should develop this mindfulness,
This, they say, is the Highest Conduct here.

正如母护子,
不惜生命,护其独子;
亦当如此对待一切众生,
让他培养无量的胸襟。

让他保持着对全世界所散发出的无限慈爱之心,
上、中 , 下、四面八方,
毫无障碍,
没有任何嗔恨,也没有敌视。

住、行、坐或卧,
只要他是清醒不昏睡,
他必须时时修行正念,
这就是他们说的最崇高的修行——梵住。

May evils (personified as Maras) never approach me,
Through the power of my action and energy
Through such power as the Lord Buddhas,
The law, lofty supreme and best.

The Lordly-lone Buddhas,


and my highest Lords of the Ariya-Sangha,
even unto my final birth,
may evils never approach me.

祈愿邪恶(魔之化身)从不接近我,
由于我的行动与精进之力量
通过诸佛、
崇高殊胜之法。

诸位辟支佛,
以及我们神圣僧伽之至僧,
甚至直到我的最后一世,
祈愿邪恶从不亲近我。

The Triple Gem
“Who is the Foremost Speaker ’amongst mankind,
Sakya Sage, O Holy One, whose task is done,
Gone beyond, possessed of power and energy;
To you, the Welcome One, I go for Refuge!”

“Exempt from lust—from craving, sorrow-free,


Law unconditioned and delectable,
Sweet, potent, profoundly analytic,
To this very Dhamma I go for Refuge!”

“Whatever is given bears great fruit ’tis said,


To four Pure Pairs of Persons; and these Eight
Are people who have realized the Truth;
To this very Saṅgha I go for Refuge!”
