Evolution:
- Micro-controller migration for application firmware

Notes:
- User need toolkit called Multiloader (Part reference: VW3A8121) and RJ11 flashing cordset for multiloader tool (Part reference:
VW3A8122) in order to update the firmware of ATV320 drive
- Use Multiloader tool firmware version v3.19 to flash v2.9IE36 of ATV320 drive.

Should user of EcoStruxure Operator Terminal Expert version 3.1 buy a new license

Answer:

EcoStruxure Operator Terminal Expert is new naming convention of Vijeo XD that was adopted
until v3.0.
FAQ1 Customers already having a 2.4 or 3.0 license can upgrade to 3.1 free of charge, concerning
both build time and runtime software. Additionally, one new license type will be introduced,
namely a fixed term 3 months build time license. The purpose of this license is to give custom-
ers flexibility to temporarily have several people working on a project without having to obtain
numerous permanent licenses.

Yes, It is possible to connect 3rd party PLCs too to EcoStruxure Machine advisor.
To have connection in-between the PLC and EcoStruxure Machine advisor, it is essential
that PLC must support either Modbus TCP/IP server or OPCUA server on it so that it can be
connected to the gateway.

Enhancement to your support experience:

It has been our endeavor to continuously enhance your technical support experience with us. To this effect, we
continuously train our experienced support teams and augment their capabilities with updated labs & systems.

In line with this, we are introducing a change that will further enhance your technical support experience with us.
Starting Feb 15th, 2019, we are implementing prioritization of technical support cases. This will ensure faster & com-
mitted response times, for prioritized requests, from our Advanced Technical Support team.

For prioritization, our support team would be requesting contract IDs, when they receive a support request falling into
any of the following categories:
- Installation / Setup
- Maintenance
- Troubleshooting
Support requests with active Contract IDs will be prioritized over others.

The above change will be implemented progressively from February 15th, 2019, starting with support requests per-
taining to Modicon PAC / PLCs, EcoStruxure Hybrid DCS & related products (IDPAC product line).

Earlier this year, we launched our Advantage Service Plan for Modicon & EcoStruxure Hybrid DCS. End-user instal-
lations covered in these service plans already have an active contract ID with us and will benefit from this prioritiza-
tion. We encourage you to maximize the coverage of your sites under our Advantage Service Plan to ensure appro-
priate Support Prioritization.
