REMOVING - REFITTING : FRONT SUSPENSION ARM

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

1. Parts which must always be replaced

Bolt-nut assembly (Front suspension arm) 2 (Per side)
Hub carrier lower ball joint nut 1 (Per side)

3. Removing
Release the front wheel bolts.
Lift and support the vehicle with front wheels suspended.
Remove :
The wheel bolts
The front wheel
The under-engine protector

CAUTION : Risk of damage to the front body height sensor (depending on equipment).

Remove the front body height sensor (depending on equipment).

Remove the nut (1).

CAUTION : Keep the driveshaft lodged in the gearbox (left-hand side).

Uncouple the hub carrier lower ball-joint ; Using the tool [0622].
3.1. Specific operations : Vehicles fitted with front subframe extensions
Remove the front under-bumper deflector .

Release the front subframe extension rubber support (6) by one quarter of a turn.
Remove the front subframe extension rubber support (6).

4. Refitting

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques.

Tightening torques :
Front suspension
Wheels

Refit :
The front suspension arm (8)
The new bolt-nut assemblies (7), (9)

4.1. Specific operations : Vehicles fitted with front subframe extensions

CAUTION : The right-hand and left-hand front subframe extension rubber supports (6) are different. They are identified by
a marking "D" (right) and "G" (left).

Refit (repair side) :

The front subframe extension rubber support (6)
The front subframe extension (5)

CAUTION : Check the clipping of the front subframe (6) extension (5) on the front subframe extension rubber support .

Refit :
The bolts (4)
The cover (2)
The 3 bolts (3)
The deflector under the front bumper

CAUTION : Keep the driveshaft lodged in the gearbox (left-hand side).

Couple the pivot lower ball-joint ; Using the tool [0622].

Refit the new nut (1).
Refit the front body height sensor (depending on equipment).
Refit :
The front wheel
The front wheel bolts
The under-engine protector
The vehicle to its wheels
