Greece is also known as Hellenic republic that comes from the
ancient Greek word Hellas, but "Greece" was adopted by the
Romans as the Latin word "Graecus", and later endorsed into
English.
The Olympics originally originated in Athens Greece in 1896.
Greece is well known for their ancient philosophers like Plato
and Socrates.
The education system first started in Greece in the year 1630
which was largely based on science, philosophy, and dialectic.
During that time school was meant only for 'boys', girls were
supposed to stay at home.

Greece is located in Europe in the Nothern hemisphere, with its population at
10.72 million, 90% Othordox Christians.

The main reasons for Greece's population declining are a very low fertility rate
of 1.3 births per woman, financial crisis, emigration, and an aging population.
With so little fertile farmland or fresh water for irrigation, Greece was never
able to support a large population. It is estimated that no more than a few
million people lived in ancient Greece at any given time.

is believed to have lived. It is the highest peak in Greece.
