The Chief Justice of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh authorized the Registrar to dispose of additional categories of applications, including applications to dispense with filing certified copies, to condone delays in filing applications related to abatement or bringing legal representatives on record, and applications for impleadment of parties. The Chief Justice also substituted the words "60 days" with "365 days" in Rule 12-A(9) related to disposing of applications. Additionally, the Chief Justice conferred powers on the Registrar (Enquiries) to hear and determine classes of applications under Rule 12-A, to be disposed of while sitting in his chambers near Court Hall 34. NOTIFICATION NO.4 /SO/2012 In exercise of the powers conferred under Rule 12-A of the Appellate Side Rules of the High Court, the Hon'ble the Chief Justice is pleased to authorize the Registrar to dispose of the following categories of applications in addition to the existing categories of applications mentioned in Rule 12-A of the Appellate Side Rules: i) ii) Applications for dispensing with filing of certified copies; Applications to condone the delay in filing applications to set aside the abatement, for setting aside abatement and for bringing the legal representatives of a deceased party on record; Applications for impleadment of parties. The applications under items (ii) and (iii) above can be disposed of by the Registrar, after notice to the parties and if there is no contest. And further pleased to substitute the words 60 days occurring in sub-Rule (9) of Rule 12-A with the words 365 days. This shall come into force with effect from 21.2.2012.

NOTIFICATION NO.5 /SO/2012 In partial modification of the previous notifications issued in this behalf and in exercise of the powers conferred under Rule 12A of the Appellate Side Rules of High Court of Judicature, the Hon'ble the Chief Justice is pleased to confer upon the Registrar (Enquiries), High Court of Andhra Pradesh, the powers to hear and determine the classes of applications set forth in Rule 12-A of the Appellate Side Rules. He shall dispose of the said matters sitting in his Chambers situated besides the Court Hall No.34.
These orders shall come into effect from 21.2.2012.
