SUSTAINABILITY, who will assign your duties.
Supervision: Research Intern.
Interaction
DIRECT: AIB-AXYS Africa team.
INDIRECT: Partners and Agents.
EXTERNAL: Capital Markets Authority.
Industry players.
Job purpose
The purpose of this role is to proactively provide financial models and databases trading on the
Nairobi Securities Exchange as well as gather economic data that will keep AIB-AXYS ahead in
terms of product offering.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Job holder will be but not limited to the following;
1. Develop and maintain financial models and databases on various securities trading on the
Nairobi Securities Exchanges.
2. Release of earnings updates and opinion on any material information that may arise.
3. Conduct industry and company specific analyses.
4. Collect data on the market, the economy and other relevant securities.
5. Summarize market research results & present findings both internally and externally for
trading insights.

6. Ensure the integrity of data and correct interpretation of market research findings.
7. Conduct strategic analysis of the market, market segments and regional/ country trends.
8. Participate in industry conferences, investor briefings, on-site visits, gathering first-hand
information and enhancing the investment process.
9. Preparation of financial economic reports.
10. Develop and maintain financial models and databases on various securities.
Required qualifications
i. Bachelor of Commerce – Finance or Economics.
ii. CFA, CPA, CIFA, CISI (Any of these).
iii. At least 2 years of experience in Equities and Fixed income analysis.
Skills and Attributes
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Nairobi Securities Exchange.
• Financial modelling expertise.
• Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
• Industry-specific experience is a plus.
• Creative, innovative mindset, with the flexibility and work ethic to take on diverse tasks.
