Morning Sounds
Clip, clip, clop the horse trots down the road,
The birds tweet their happy song,
The wind whooshes through the trees,
My chair creaks as it rocks peacefully.

A quiet morning outside,

Listening to the creek gurgling by,
The frogs croaking softly in the distance,
The bees buzzing busily in the bushes.

It’s as peaceful and serene as a picture,

Sitting here outside on my porch.
I could stay here for hours longer,
But the day calls, and I must answer.

Dinner

I see a star shoot across the sky,

The stars they twinkle up so high.
I stop and then I make a wish,
I stop and wish for a fish.

I am a cat, so you see,

Fish are a tasty supper for me.
But not so easy for me to find,
For in my house I am confined.

If you could bring a fish to me,

I’ll be very grateful, you will see.
As grateful as the plants for sunlight,
As grateful as the crickets for the night.

My stomach growls and it wishes,

For the biggest of all the fishes.
Bring it fast, bring it quick,
I’ll finish it, the plate I’ll lick.
