THE GIFT

A teenager girl had never plan reconstructing her life but she was given something beyond human
measure. A treasure that was temporarily buried within her, society would have classified her a sinner.
But God’s purpose for her was immaculate and bigger.
The gold was something the enemy could never steal.
There weren’t lights on the trees and the smell of chest nuts in the breeze.
The light before Christmas was revealed.
It was more like a very tall journey of which time was limited. More like a journey of over seven
miles in a race against time, not an elf.
The father lay all his cards on the table, for the hope of the world to be realized.
In a stable he laid, regardless, of the circumstances around.
All who were around him bowed before him, acknowledging the presence of a great man in that of the
child of Jesus.
The crowned prince of Shalom, the Saviour of this universe, the Messiah.
The bright star shone enhancing the glorious presence of this awesome Prince.
As a child he took on the responsibility of the world regardless of age. The weight of the world was on
his shoulder.
The angel shouted glory to God in the highest and on earth, peace, goodwill towards men!
Their praise was relayed on the lips of the shepherds, as they journeyed to the stable.
With haste and dropped on their knees on the hay.
Worship Him, while the animals around could only do the same.
Wise men from the east travelled far from where they were.
To honor the king with gold, frankincense and myrrh.
That day an innocent lion was born, and the world adorned Him.
King of all Kings.
Without JESUS, what would Christmas be? He destroys yokes and remove burdens.
He is our provider, healer and a hope that is certain, with grace and love.
Without conditions, he set the captives free.
Without JESUS what would Christmas be?
