Where Am I Now and Where Do I Want To Be?
Adapting of where are you now and who are you know is not an easy task. First and foremost, Acceptance, by
understanding that it is a part of life it is a step-up process or way of appreciating myself more because of learning
of what it is. Always reflecting myself is a strength of mine because it made me true to myself by not afraid of
facing the truth. Because of that I learned to not get discouraged by failure. Acknowledging changes what is
happening to my life made me to learn to truly learn what life is all about especially about myself, by this process
it makes me value more of my individuality. Truly knowing of where you are now and where you want to be
contributed well of becoming to a better self.
Having unhealthy habits is a major drawback for a better self, it brings negative effects to yourself. One of my
unhealthy habits is that I sometimes dwell about my past mistakes, because of how I truly regretted my mistakes
sometimes it can’t be helped that I think of it once in a while. My mistakes made people hurt, suffer and
completely destroyed some part of their life, it always haunts me of what I did to them especially when you know
it truly breaks their trust. Procrastination was always a habit of mine especially when I started high school. Doing
task late makes my mentality low and it truly effects how I live my life. Due to my tardiness cramming was always
my go to move, because of this my work of the task is always poor quality and it may not unlock any potentials I
may have. A broken body clock is bad for my health and it have some major effects on my future. Due to
sometimes can’t sleep and using my phone it burns a lot of time and it made me feel not sleepy, even though
my body is tired, it does not let my body sleep. If I continue this many illnesses will come to me and some bad
symptoms will soon arrive if I didn’t change it.
My unhealthy habits should be avoided once and for all. If this continue it will not make me a better person for
myself so that’s why I need to fix it. Reflecting on the present and redirecting my thoughts is a good help for my
issue of dwelling in the past. It can help me think that it all happened for a reason and it is a step for me to grow
and learn from my mistakes. It can help me to focus on my goals and going through all mental obstacles in my
life, because of that I will learn to accept and to forgive myself of what I done. Doing the task early as possible
is a good habit so that I will have peace of mind and it may help me not to overthink of task in case the tasks will
be stacked. It can also improve my mentality for work and doing something. Doing healthy exercise and doing
what I love helps me to sleep. Like me a person sometimes having a difficult to sleep it helps a lot. Continuing
this, it will bring back my body clock to normal in no time.
Thinking about the future is surely a serious plan especially to some people who have high expectation from
themselves. Seeing yourself a year from now is clearly hard to tell, but in this world nothing is impossible. If you
want something to achieve, accomplish or do something, It can happen if you work hard for it and truly believing
in yourself that you can make it. Everyone has their own way of how will they plan to achieve it. S.M.A.R.T goals
is a helpful guide. For examples myself, I want to see my self a year from now that I’m still working hard
consistently for my goals. Sure, time is a big pressure but by setting measures of my goals and progress it can
help me through it. Achieving something you are still doing is not hard if you do it consistently and no distractions.
Sticking to my values in my life and by always thinking positive it makes my objectives and every task and what
happens is relevant. Specially thinking what is truly possible and realistic is a positive way of achieving something
so there’s no overly high expectations of yourself and by not gas lighting yourself and truly thinking what is
possible it increases motivation and move on in your life.
We always seek for improvement, that’s why we always want to adapt new healthy habits. As for the new habits
I told in the third paragraph those all will have a positive effect in every aspect of my life especially for my better
self. My new habits can help me make it pass through all obstacles and problems of my life. So that I may get
used to my problems and consistently how to resolve it once again and again. My new habits can help me not
to stop achieving my goals because it makes me believe that every thing happens for a reason that it may be
good or bad but the important thing is that you will learn from it and you will carry your lessons within your journey.
